In my opinion they prepare it better then any other place in the whole state of Colima and believe me! I do visit other beaches and towns in this state. Huge thumbs up to the crew for their service and not to mention the chef for his secret recipe for preparing the "zarandeado"...

They do everything just a little bit better than everyone else. You can tell a lot about a Mexican restaurant by how well they prepare the tacos de frijol. The quality of the tortillas, the flavor of the beans, and the timing of the service. I usually order an extra plate of tacos de frijol to go because I am traveling through Tecoman and you don't need to heat them up to be awesome. I am becoming kind of an aficionado when it comes to octopus. I never thought I would like it so much. I like the diabla sauce, but even more I just like it on the grill. You know it is really good by how tender it comes. Homero's does it so much better than anywhere else I have tried it. Homero's takes ceviche tostadas to the next level. There is a layer of fish ceviche and then another layer of shrimp on top of that. It is a really unique touch that I had not seen before. The quality of the ingredients is off the charts. There are world class water 10km down the road and it seems that they get the best of the best. The restaurant is a little off of the tourist track and caters to a discerning and local crowd. I get the impression they have been doing this for a long time. Homero's is a destination in itself. It is worth driving to Tecoman to check this place out if you like seafood. Maybe get some waves before or after.

I have since returned many times and I feel like an updated review is important because this is one of the best restaurants that I have ever eaten at across the globe for authentic Mexican cuisine, especially Mariscos. The atmosphere is local, authentic, quaint, and welcoming. Abuela can be seen in the kitchen hand making the tortillas so you know it's gonna be an amazing experience. The seafood is fresh and the food comes with a platter of sauces and pico de gallo and hot peppers that complement whatever dish you may order. The prices are fair and quite inexpensive when compared to prices back in the United States. There is a view during the day and at night, festive lights, set the tone for a magical evening. In short, having traveled across this wonderful globe and eaten at many Michelin starred restaurants, as well as local places like this, I can confidently say this is in the top 10 list of my favorite spots to enjoy a meal!

I think the ambiance is a little better than the food. I am always super excited to go because you are sitting on the sand, watching some world class surfing going on, but I always feel like the food is just OK. They do this fish filet that is stuffed with a mixed batch of seafood that I usually enjoy. The last time I went I felt it was a little overcooked. The oysters are always good but you will pay, what I feel is a premium, for them. The one thing I always get is a fish broth with a couple of shrimp in the bottom. Bomb, always, never misses. This place is a destination. People come from all over Western Mexico to play at the beach. With tons of safe parking it is a fun day to be had at Pascuales.
