More of a local spot as staff did not speak english and we were the only tourists in the joint. Thankfully two in our group spoke Spanish, and we were able to get some good local Catalan tapas at a very reasonable price.
What we got:
* Vasito de gazpacho - glass of gazpacho. Nice and light, and a good start to our meals.
* Anchoas - Anchovies in olive oil and olives. I'm a sucker for anchovies, so I gobbled this up - keep in mind it's very salty, so either order bread or wash it down with a beverage.
* Patata bravas "la violeta"
* Costillas de cerdo laqueadas - Pork ribs and coleslaw. I'm not a big ribs fan, so this was more for the rest of my group. It was okay though.
* Pollo alla cacciatora. Chicken with caramelized onions, capers, green olives, tomatoes, and fresh basil. Another dish I didn't have because I don't eat chicken but my party enjoyed.
* Pulpo con hummus y chorizo - Octopus, chorizo on hummus. Super yummy.
* Cerviche de corvina. Couldn't eat this because I'm pregnant, but my group said it was amazing.
* Crema Catalana (Spain's creme brulee). It's made with milk vs cream. Also instead of vanilla, it has cinnamon, lemon, and star anise. It's lighter and the cinnamon comes through really nicely.
Note: they charge for water. This is uncommon in the US, but common in Barcelona. Just be prepared to find it on the bill.
Otherwise they take cash or card. read more
