The place smells so clean and the food is so delicious. The bartender and hostess were really inviting and answered all of my questions.
First things first, this please is definitely aesthetically pleasing. I loved the decor, the color theme, and the overall space. Wouldn't mind doing it for the gram here. Secondly, service was excellent. Our party of 3 was well attended. Now for the goods, the food. Their horchata de coco did live up to the hype, 10/10 recommend. I've had the octopus at several locations around town and would probably order it elsewhere. The texture was good, well cooked. I wasn't crazy about the flavor, not bad just not for me. However, the rest of the table did enjoy theirs. I may have just chosen the wrong plate, so we may have to go again. Overall a good experience. #leslieapproved
The selection of liquors at the bar is limited. The appetizer of the soup, chips, and salsas is good. The snapper was ok...not much meat and a lot of work to get what was there.
I love the delicious food there! I love the view outside! I spent my birthday here this year and can't wait for the next!
I've been a few times, and my experiences have been great due to this specific octopus dish. On the second floor, you have the option to sit out on the patio or indoors. There's a bar, big mirrors and it's a nice interior. One of my favorite meals I've had in McAllen.
My friend and I were lucky to arrive right on time for happy hour! The drinks and food is pretty pricey, but the happy hour helps! Haha! The food and the inside of the restaurant are so beautiful! This is a great place to bring people who are visiting the valley. Most of the menu is seafood, so not a lot of chicken or meat options, beside their burger, which is also so good!
This place is AMAZING! I have only been here a couple times but each visit has been awesome. They're abiding by COVID precautions from as soon as you enter the restaurant. They for you to clean the bottom of your shoe, they check temperature & staff are wearing masks & shields. The place is super cute, very chic. My first visit, the waiter was very friendly and gave us the best recommendation. It was the Taco Padrote, so delicious. I also ordered a tostada that was equally delicious. They also have tasty palomas & nice cold beer. You can choose between inside or patio dining. I've done both and I have no preference, they are both very comfortable & will get the same service.
I can't say enough good things about this restaurant and its staff. But let me back up just a little bit. I travel on the road quite a bit for work, so I never know what kind of restaurant I'm going to walk into. I was staying at the Hampton Inn, and didn't want to fight the McAllen traffic and construction. This restaurant was within walking distance of my hotel. What a fantastic, fine! If I was staying in a different hotel, I would probably still fight the traffic just to get to this restaurant! A little hard to find, at first. The restaurant is basically on the second floor , and you got to find the door to the lobby to go upstairs by the elevator or the stairs. Of course, there's all kinds of signs, but who reads signs Lol! I ended up eating here two times in a row and sat at the bar. This was through the middle of the week and early. I wish I would've got the bartenders name, a guy and a girl the service there was beyond exception they were so very nice explaining the menu explaining the drinks, personal service was just beyond what you would expect in a restaurant these days on the second night they even learned it was my birthday and brought me out a cake with a candle. This is a must go to restaurant for the food and for the service and for the ambience. Beautifully prepared dishes beautifully done decor, and exceptional personal service. The octopus there is the best I've ever had in my life and all my travels. I wanted to keep ordering it, but wanted to try different things everything on the menu I tried surpassed any expectations I might've had.
First time here, staff was friendly and atmosphere is nice. To begin we ordered the calamari and some micheladas! The micheladas were pretty Awesome. I had the salmon and my husband had the octopus yes I agree it's a bit pricey but worth it if you are a foodie and looking for some pretty good seafood.
This place a a good spot to have lunch or dinner at too eat some good casual seafood. I recommend to eat outside & also be ready to speak Spanish if you decide to come here.... other than that thumbs up!!!

The location is perfect, tasteful interior decor. The food was top notch! Bigger plates than I expected, excellent drink selection and the server was knowledgeable on menu. My favorites were the corn flan and seared tuna tostada. I'd be back for sure! read more
The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing with its modern seafood restaurant decor. The presentation of the restaurant facilities and the food is good. Comfortable, clean, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would not, however, come here again. The specialty is supposed to be seafood, but both plates I tried left much to be desired. I'm a big fan of ceviche, so I ordered the Peruvian ceviche. Ceviche is best served cold and it is known for its tangy flavor. The presentation of the food is really lovely. The fish chunks sit in the bottom of the plate and topped with crunchy choclo, pickled red onions, and sweet potatoes. The fish, however, was bland. It was seasoned with a bit of chiles for spiciness, but it was lukewarm and had no tanginess, leaving me wondering if it was cooked enough as the acids of the citrus are meant to "cook" the fish. I had to ask for several limes to give it flavor myself. I also tried a "Timbalito" which is a corn-husk bowl filled with fish and octopus. This one had slightly more flavor and spice, but needed limes as well for a balance of tanginess. Most disappointing is the quality of the seafood. For a specialty in seafood, the octopus tasted an awful lot like canned pulpo, which is fine but not the quality I expect at this price point. I would also stay away from the cocktails. The menu lists the names of some cocktails but not the ingredients, so the bartender has to explain verbally each drink to you. I asked for something not as sweet, so I had a spicy margarita. The spice was just a little bit of tajin on the rim (which is mostly just salt) and the drink itself was undrinkably sweet. Had to quench my thirst with a bottle of water, because the restaurant does not offer tap water. Not impressed, not coming back. read more

Me and my boyfriend split the grilled octopus and it was amazing! A little salty at first but the longer you eat it the softer and more delicious it is! Definitely coming back,okay service too,this drink was delicious as well!! And not expensive!! read more

I'd describe the menu as Mexican street foods & seafood dishes with a modern & unique twist. The horchata has a unique refreshing twist, it's a must! definitely want to come back on a weekend to try the cocktails and enjoy the rooftop patio! read more

Visiting family here in McAllen and decided to try this spot since it was close by my hotel. Glad I did! Pleasantly surprised by the modern, creative seafood dishes served by this restaurant. Entirely impressed by the food considering this restaurant is located in a smaller city. We had the Malenita ceviche, the Caribbean and Mamucas tostadas. (Don't call it Malucas like I did, lol) Speaking of that tostada, it was my least favorite actually. Kind of bland, IMO. Definitely recommend the others though! Great service and cleanliness was on point. I'll likely be back for the pistachio ice cream I missed out on. read more

Surpassed my expectations, Sergio was so in-depth and took such great care of us, best Ceviche I've ever had, best salmon burger my girlfriend has ever had, and the shrimp citrus taco is so refreshing, I highly recommend this place! read more

Our new favorite in town. Authentic Mexican Seafood restaurant, awesome ambiance, great service, our dishes today were Coctel Caribeño, Los Toriles, Tostada de Camarón, Tostada Mamucas, taco Cancuno y Pulpo a las brazas. Our drinks were Horchata de Coco. We closed with Nieve de Tequila. It is located just opposite to Rio Grande Regional Hospital ER on Expressway 83, the address is incorrect on Google Maps or Yelp as of 07/28/19 read more

This hidden gem is absolutely amazing! The environment is very lively and upscale. It truly is a little bit of the Carribean in McAllen. Upon arrival we were served a small serving of shrimp soup with crackers and tostadas. We ordered the shrimp quesadillas, and they were delish! I also had a extra delicious shrimp tostada with a very large serving of Pozole (seafood style with shrimp and mussels). The Pozole was Yummy but I felt it lacked some spices. Oh and the mojitos are beyond refreshing. For dessert we tried the tart, passion fruit with merengue chocolate and strawberries. Yum! Need I say more. The server was extremely attentive, friendly and professional. Everyone was helpful to our needs and those tables around us. I highly recommend this restauran! read more

2.5 stars We were looking for a new spot & came across this thanks to Yelp. However, the address is a bit confusing & we ended up at a motel in Pharr. I ended up calling for directions & found it just fine (located off Expressway 83, north of Rio Grande Regional Hospital). It's located in a new building on the 2nd floor with the option to climb stairs or take an elevator. The inside is very modern & chic with an alfresco option (which I'm sure is really nice at night). The service was friendly. The food was pretty good for the most part but kinda pricey. A few things I had issues with were: (1) menu was completely in Spanish (didn't find out til afterwards that they have English menus upon request only); (2) our waitress was nice but kept coming to our table every couple of mins to ask if we were ready to order (which we weren't cause we were struggling with the Spanish menu & never offered that they had it in English) & then once we got our food she would come every couple of mins wanting to clear our table/plates/salsas & when we would politely decline she would still linger; (3) our shrimp appetizer was a decent size with big shrimp & had a cut in the shell for easy peeling but was not cleaned/deveined! (4) the presentation on my wood "plate" was nice but messy as my rice & salad kept falling off not just the plate but the table and the waitress had to come sweep it up (luckily my hubby's rice came on a separate plate so I was able to move my rice and salad there); (5) the vegetable side is actually salad (which I don't mind at all & it was quite delicious & helpful in making my tacos) but, if my hubby had ordered that he would have been very disappointed as he would be expecting cooked veggies; (6) we both had Spanish rice with our entrees...mine was super delicious, his was not! It had a different color & flavor & when I asked our waitress about it she couldn't answer our question or resolve it. Oh snap! That's more then a few issues, LOL! Overall, not sure if we'll be returning. read more

A laid back place with a good atmosphere. Sitting down the chairs are comfortable and it has a beach vibe. The staff were really friendly and all following sanitizing and PPE recommendations. They have a balcony but we sat inside. The food was delicious. We had the tacos specifically the marlin, godfather tacos. We asked the waiter for his suggestion on the tostadas and he did not disappoint. The food was delicious. Would highly go back. read more
