It was a bit hidden but great location next to an actual train track. Interestingly enough, a train passed through while we dinned. I'm sure the outside experience it better than indoors. However, the outside tables is more limited. They feature a small menu, but you can tell they focus on fresh ingredients. Quality over quantity. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, and it was easily one of the best I have ever had! What really elevates it is the inclusion of thinly sliced apples; they provide a fantastic crunch and a perfect sweet-tart balance. You have to try it! We stopped by during a busy Tuesday lunch rush, and despite the place being packed, the staff was very attentive. Everyone was kind and clearly working hard, doing their absolute best to check in on us and keep things moving. Highly recommend this local spot for a fresh, high-quality lunch!

The old building has a nostalgic flare with a cozy interior atmosphere! The cafe was full and for good reason, the food was excellent! We started with the grilled cornbread and Frico wine. The cornbread was absolutely delicious and the wine was perfect! My husband had the Caboose Burger and said it was good but nothing special. I had the Fig Pro Quo and it was spectacular! I had a side salad which was simple but really delicious! It was a great first experience and I'm looking forward to going back! My kind of place for sure!

I have no idea what that means, but they have good sandwiches. What to get: A Prosciutto sandwich with Fresh Mozzarella added, maybe What else: Expect an upcharge to add Fresh Mozz How to improve: Don't upcharge so much for Fresh Mozz (sigh) Nick's is a little run-down grocery store which sort-of feels like walking into a check-cashing shop or an urban convenience store that just happens to have a wonderful old-school NY-NJ style Italian deli inside. The deli itself is great, and makes a lot of awesome sandwiches for decent prices. As I said, I don't like the weird upcharges for certain ingredients, but so be it. It makes the prices of a sandwich soar from decent to ridiculous. The sandwiches aren't altogether authentic Italian NY-NJ style, but they are very good. I loved the parts of it that I had fresh, however when I had the rest of the sandwich a little later it had gotten extremely squidgy and soggy because they use a regular loaf of bread rather than anythng hard or Italian. Again, makes it less authentic but still very tasty. Despite these remarks, I haven't had a sandwich this good in the Richmond area before, so you should give it a try. And if it were Niche Produce, then they'd only sell unusual and hard to get hipster vegetables and sandwiches. Whereas if it wer Nix Produce, it would close down soon. And if it were Knickers Produce then I would have torn them down a lot more quickly and intensely than I did in this review.

Where have you been all my life? How sweet is this little organic, neighborhood grocery store? I'm…read moreso glad a happened upon it while having lunch on Bellevue! I walked it and was immediately enthralled by the displays, shelving and All the fresh foods! It looked like an old fashioned grocer from yesteryear, but with a modern twist. At first I was just checking the place out... but soon I grabbed a cute wire basket and stocked up on blackberries the size of your thumb! I also got some other fruits and veggies, some local popping corn, some kitchenware, snacks and the creme de la creme... nightingale ice cream sandwiches! The best treats around! Spice up you life in the seasoning shelf... browse the cookbooks... pick up some natural cleaning products... check out the beauty and health section with essential oils! I wasn't going straight home so I had to pass up the dairy case and the frozen foods, but I'll definitely be back for some cage free eggs!! Check out was delightful as the woman thoughtfully and carefully packed my goods. She also looked up sulfite free wines for me and said she hoped to be getting them in. I never mind spending money on great quality and outstanding service. Ya get what you pay for folks, and here you have hit the jackpot! This green grocer is just what this area needed and I hope it sticks around for a long time! It has my support! Hooray for Little House Green Grocery! Ike Godsey would be proud!!

I'm not paying $5.65 for a loaf of bread. There is nothing in that store that you couldn't find at Aldi for a much, MUCH more reasonable price, organic and non-GMO as well. I know as well as anyone that buying local is good for the economy, but I don't like being taken advantage of based on pathos. We all want to support local neighborhood grocery stores and bodegas but that does not give the shopowner the right to charge outrageous prices that only the rich can afford on a regular basis. I was hoping to find a place that would uphold the spirit of the neighborhood grocery, not some bougie place where they try to get rich quick off of each sale. Highly disappointed.

They also ship for a slightly higher charge. But it's definitely worth taking a trip to see the monastery grounds and visit the sweet nuns. The cheese shop is open daily (except Sunday) between 2-4 pm, but hours may vary so check their website for times. The cheese here is made from grass-fed cow's milk which gives this cheese its incredible velvety texture. The cheese curds are shipped in from Wisconsin, the cheese capital of the states!
