#1 attraction in Paris. Definitely a must see. Whether you go up or get some amazing photo outside. Always a good Pic with an amazing background.
How can you come to Paris and not see the Eiffel Tower... I mean so cool. I really don't understand why you're looking at reviews for this place honestly, it's just somewhere you just have to go see while you're here. To put it most generally it's a big monument that looks like a caged tower and it sparkles at night!
Overview: a classic, must-see landmark in Paris ---- Very beautiful landmark and prettier if you see it light up at night. The tower only sparkles when it's dark enough outside to see it. When it's the spring/summer the sun sets very late at night so when I was there, the Eiffel Tower first sparkled at 10pm! We didn't know that, so we arrived around 8pm and waited 2 hours. It then started to rain and we shared one umbrella between 4 people. There are lots of people walking around trying to sell you stuff can be very annoying especially if you came there early and they keep asking you. They walk around with small trinkets, some with drinks like wine, blankets, and even umbrellas when it started to rain. There are lots of people on the grassy field in front of the tower having picnics and waiting for the tower to light up as well. The walk from the metro wasn't too long, but also wasn't that short, but it's Paris so be prepared to walk for everything! It beautiful and was worth the walking, waiting, and being rained on. ---- Overall: beautifully lit up at the beginning of the hour after the sun goes down, for us it was at 10pm! Be prepared to walk and wait, enjoy the views and atmosphere with others waiting to see the pretty lights
Landmark in Paris, France... I've visited this famous piece of architecture a few times before I knew about Yelp. Back in 2000, I was here with my former co-worker. She didn't want to visit because there was a bomb threat. I told her that it's just a threat. How many miles and hours did we fly to just stay in the hotel room? She ended up walking outside with me... LOL! Our friend dropped us off this time to just get photos. He and his wife drove around the block and picked us up in-between stops. Parking is quite the challenge here! Be on your best behavior... some guards with guns marched past us!
THE GOOD ---------------- + SPECTACULAR and breath-taking 360 degree view of the entireeeeeee city of Paris! No part of Paris is unseen from here. + Different options for visiting the tower - (1) visit the base for free (2) pay to take the lift/walk up to the 2nd floor (3) pay to take the lift allllllll the way to the top - BUT, EVERYONE needs to go through the security checkpoint. No exceptions. + Worth every penny to visit the top of the tower to view the city! Don't just take photos outside or in front of the tower. Go for the full experience! THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - If you have accessibility needs or have a stroller, unfortunately, you will need to go up some steps before you reach the elevators to take you further up the tower. Not a lot steps, but definitely a few staircases. - If you buy tickets the day of your visit, waits can reach 1-2 hours, so try to buy them beforehand if you can! MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------- = As expected, it gets busy on the different levels, especially the higher ones, but it's not THAT bad. It's typical tourist attraction crowds.
I had a 3 pm reserved ticket To The Top and arrived 30 minutes early. I'm glad I did because they were running behind schedule. Once On Top I was almost 1,000 feet above ground and the views were dramatic. One level is fully enclosed behind large windows and the level above is open air with large metal screens for protection. That day the wind was calm so it was very pleasant to be on that level. On the open air level you can buy a glass of champagne and macarons to celebrate if you wish. Above you the tower rises for about another 100 feet for radio antennas, etc. It costs extra to go To The Top and it is worth it. If you do, go there first and then work your way down to the 2nd and then 1st levels. You can only access The Top by elevator. The 2nd level (400 feet) and 1st level (200 feet) are accessible by elevator and stairway. Remember it's much easier going downhill than uphill. By the way, the stairs are open air but enclosed with metal screens making it impossible for you to fall off. If you are on the 1st level and want to exit it is faster to do so by stairs rather than waiting on the elevator. There are upscale restaurants on the 1st and 2nd levels and there are chairs that you can sit on and enjoy the view. Actually, the famous French landmarks are better seen from the 2nd level than The Top. There are 2 Metro stations within less than 10 minute walking distance to the Tower so getting here is easy. It amazes me that this HUGE landmark was originally designed to be a temporary structure only, They were suppose to take it down but decided it was too popular.
I can't believe I'm finally standing in front of the Eiffel Tower! It's just as beautiful as I imagined it! And apparently at night they have it all lit up!
I could not let my first trip to Paris go by without visiting the Eiffel Tower. I mean, it's a structure that is engrained in history and pop culture, and synonymous with the city of Paris. That being said, I decided to research the different types of visits that the tower offered and plan my visit. The tower offers several ways to climb it - tickets are available to either the first/second floor as well at the summit. If you choose the former, you can then choose to climb it via stairs or lift; if you choose to go to the summit then a lift is your only option. Tickets sell out rather quickly online, but you can also try to purchase them in person. Nevertheless, I don't like leaving things up to chance so I purchased what was available to me online - tickets to the first/second floor via stairs. It's about 600 or so stairs to make it to the second floor of the tower. Along the way, there's a stop on the first floor where you can take pictures; there's also some seating areas as well as a cafe. The second floor repeats this, though there is also a gift shop here. They also have fun facts about the tower scattered throughout as well as plenty of view points. Personally, I thought the views from the first/second floor were high enough - I was snapping away. As far as the tower itself, it's definitely a sight to see in person - massive and intricately structured, I found myself just staring at it multiple times. My only regret (if you can call it) is not seeing at night up close, this is definitely something I would want to do my next time in Paris. Overall though, the Eiffel Tower is definitely worth checking out at least one during your Paris adventures.
La Tour Eiffel or the Eiffel Tower is one of the most landmarks in the world, and it is truly an iconic symbol of the French city line. When you're close to the tower, the photos aren't as beautiful as when you take a photo with the tower in the background. A few spots that are great to take photos with the Eiffel tower is from Trocadero or the bridge at Pont D'Iena for a straight short or at the bridge at Pont De l'Alma for a diagonal shot. We got to enjoy the view of the Eiffel Tower on multiple occasions as we explored the city. We witness its' charm from the day light hours and at night. We discovered that the tower sparkles at night on the hour for 5 minutes. One night we noticed it sparkled from 9:00-9:05pm and then our theory was confirmed when we saw it sparkle again from 11:00-11:05pm. What a treat! I recommend making time to visit both during the morning and at night. The Eiffel Tower is stunning and I feel like the day and the night has different charms to it.
Wow The Eiffel Tower is amazing but to see it in person is just incredible. It is even more amazing in person and fascinating as well. The tower was completed in 1889. There were many who were opposed of it being built but now the tower is adored. We purchased ticket hubby and I to the Summer which is the very top and we were just amazed at the beauty of the tower and of Spain ! Now it does get very crowded and you do get a bit crammed but otherwise anyone visiting Paris must come see the Eiffel Tower
When in Paris, you must visit the Eiffel Tower, both during the daytime and at night! The structure is massive close-up! At night if you take a boat ride along the Seine River, you'll get to see the tower pretty close-up and brightly lit. It's quite mesmerizing.
Is it touristy? Yes. Is it crowded? Yes. Is it worth it? YES!!!! My 4th time being in Paris and still love seeing this beautiful metal art piece. During the day... it's magnificent. During the night... ohhhh it's spectacular! I didn't go up this time, went in 2015... the view is beautiful but you do get better city view from Galleries de Lafayette rooftop. You can see the Eiffel Tower from plenty of hotels... so be sure to time it right... and watch the sparkle at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm... it only sparkles for 5 minutes... so be ready!
As sad as it is, whenever I think about the Eiffel tower I can't help but think about Franz Reichelt. He was a French tailor and inventor and in 1912 he jumped off the first platform of the Eiffel to test a homemade, wearable parachute. You can imagine how that went. However, I have the utmost respect for Franz. You can't knock the hustle. Bro was really about that life and had an unparalleled self belief, rivaled only by Vegeta. A moment of silence for big Franz please.............................. My gf and I came to the Eiffel Tower, not to jump off, but with a baguette and a bottle of red wine like the good little tourists we are. I was draped in a red beret and a 80% cashmere scarf that I had picked up from a tourist stand nearby for 8 euro. It was at this moment I realized that if I ever needed to go into the witness protection program I could blend in out here pretty easily... We drank our wine and ripped into the baguette, and had a nice little moment. It's nice to just press pause every now and then and appreciate moments. My girlfriend ended up keeping this cork, attached a magnet to it, and hung it on the fridge. Beast... gonna start keeping corks like this from all major life events and moments. I sat there, half a bottle of red wine deep, thinking "damn bro really jumped off that and thought he would be good... talk about betting on yourself. He has all my respect." RIP FRANZ! GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN! IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo
Wow, I think I am in the vast minority here... The Eiffel Tower is a tourist trap. What we have in our minds before we visit is not reality. When we went in September 2017 (shoulder season) the interior of the park was completely shut down to let the grass re-grow. This poor park has been completely destroyed by tourists. Our experience walking through this area was seriously comparable to an apocalypse movie. There was trash everywhere, dust from the exposed dirt blowing up into your eyes, people shoving each other just to get a selfie. And then of course getting accosted every 12 steps to buy a trinket. Of course, we are part of the problem visiting the area, but this experience honestly made me scared and worried about society. When you looked out all you could see were selfie sticks in the air facing away from the tower. Honestly I cannot remember seeing even one person in the swarmed crowd facing the other way towards the tower to admire it. First world problems here, but it made me sick to my stomach and I didn't really even want a picture of it. We admired it, and soon walked off in disbelief and sadness that this is the place that many of the most admired places in the world are moving towards. Some newbie advice: get your tickets to go up at LEAST 3-4 months in advance. They were sold out when we looked 3 months leading up to it, on all levels. And frankly - if you do want to go up, be prepared to wait in an astronomical line (literally hours). Rick Steves recommends just taking the stairs because virtually no one is on them. And the wait is really just for the elevator. Yes, go see it - just don't be surprised if this is the reality you see behind everyones instagram photos. (Insert single tear emoji here) read more

As expected! The Eiffel Tower in all of its glory! Small places to eat nearby, however there are people trying to get you to buy things and will follow you around. read more
How can you go to Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower? Although it's a bit overrated, the experience was still enjoyable. I went twice; once during the day, and once during the night to go up the tower. By far, I enjoyed the night trip more due to the views and atmosphere! During the day, it's much more safe; at night, you actually have to watch for pickpockets. There were a couple of people that came close to me and were suspicious, but I walked faster and avoided coming too close. At night, you can buy tickets to go up the tower to various levels. I went to the second highest level because the tickets to the highest were sold out. The view was stunning! You can see all of the major structures in Paris, and there's also a little boutique that sells souvenirs. It definitely feels magical being so high up and seeing the glittering lights down below. Highly suggested! read more

The short: Book a tour that will let you bypass the first line. Go straight to the top and make your way down - even if that means breaking away from the tour at the second level. It can be time consuming, but the views on a nice day are fabulous. The long: The Eiffel Tower experience has been ruined by all the lines, waiting, and masses of tourists. I first visited the tower in summer of 2002 before the days of selfies, etc. I remember just being able to walk to the ticket counter and take the elevator up - our visit was maybe ~ 1.5 hours total. Today this would not even get you through he first of many lines. I can't imagine being a first time visitor and finding this enjoyable - but I suppose this is the current sad reality. Don't get me wrong, it is an iconic landmark that one should see in their visit to Paris, but it really shouldn't take half of your day. On our visit in late May, thankfully our friend booked a tour so that we could skip the first line. While we had tickets to the summit, we opted to skip it rather than wait who knows how long to take the elevator to the top. While disappointed in the overall experience, we were not disappointed by the views from the second level. However, I think I'll keep the memories of my first visit instead. read more

Since I was a little girl, I have dreamed about visiting the Eiffel Tower. I have FINALLY have been able to experience it in real life, rather than stupid fake pictures, or Paris themed nick nacks, I'm here in REAL life. PRICE- 38 Euros- $46.74 USD This price gets you to the Summit (Very Tippy Top) That price has you walking up 704 flights of stairs to reach the level where you are able to access the lift to the summit. A good tip is that there is a lift to bring you all the way back down to the bottom. If you don't feel like paying $50, then there are still a thousand photo ops everywhere in every direction. Just be aware of the 10 thousand French men selling the little Eiffel statues, some can be invasive. We went on their "downtime" or not in peak season, and it was still pretty crowded. I am all about the night time scenery, so we decided to arrive around 9 pm, and they stop letting people in around 11. I have always heard of the champagne bar at the top, and I just HAD to go, buy the 18 Euro light up champagne glass with a sip of champagne... #tourist It's unforgettable. Do it. Bring your family, your friends, your loved ones, your dog, your blow up doll, whatever makes you happy. Totally worth it. Indescribable views, and a night I will never forget. read more
Eiffel Tower is gorgeous! We paid 25€/each to go to the top, but honestly the views on lower levels are better bc they're closer (you can see building features better) and photo views aren't restricted by caging. Plus, the price is half as much. The top is interesting, but quite a bit smaller -you can purchase a flute of champs for 13-19€. Also, you can look through a window to see a representation of Gustav's private apartments on top. My hubs likes high places -but for me personally, the lower levels were better and hella cheaper. We came in November and still had to wait in line a half hour. read more

It's been over a decade since my last trip to Paris. I figured seeing the Eiffel Tower was obligatory, not expecting much. How wrong I was... The view is simply awe inspiring. A genuine sanguine moment of sheer wonder at the looming structure, the panoramic clarity unobstructed by any surrounding infrastructure commands focus onto one of the wonders of the world. Obviously I highly recommend it. Don't be afraid to engage with a friendly African (they don't bite) and grab yourself a mini LED illuminated Eiffel Tower. They're surprisingly cheaper than those at Montmarte. read more

When you hear about landmark your entire life, getting to see it in person is one of those incredible, out-of-body experiences! My husband and I were here in December & even with the cold & rainy weather, the Eiffel Tower was more breathtaking & incredible than I ever thought possible! It's stunning, especially in the morning with the sunrise behind it; if you're an early bird, I HIGHLY recommend coming to see it at this time. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the lines. I get it's the Eiffel Tower & it's inevitable that there are going to be tons of people and lines but they didn't have 2 of the elevators operating the day we were there and for no apparent reason. This made the line/waiting time to get back to ground level very long and exhausting. Overall, great experience but when it's freezing, raining and insanely windy at the top - I feel like they should do a better job at crowd control. read more

Pro: A Paris must The view Restaurant options with some requiring RSVP Con: expect long lines; Of course and to walk up a lot of stairs if you choose too. Can't say our experience was bad and visiting the Eiffel Tower is just something that you have to experience in your lifetime. read more
It's big, it's beautiful, it sparkles at night. Paris has always been on my bucket list, and I knew this would be my first stop. My only complaint are the people around the tower pedaling mini statues or trying to obtain donations. They are aggressive towards tourists. read more
Went to the top of the tower to see the city and it was quite a view. You can walk around and see the cathedral, the Olympic soccer field, and the Seine River. The stairs are steep and winding, and you can feel every bit of the wind up high. read more

Go To The Top! 'Ello chaps! For much of our tour of Paris I felt mostly underwhelmed. Missed that romance and emotion of excitement that others seemed to see in the City. By far the highlight of the stay was taking the trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Yes it is high but the view is magnificent. You see unparallel views of Paris, including Arch de Triopmhe, Louvre, Notre Dame, and other landmarks. At only about $25 (US) it is far worth the value. There are three main platforms on the Eiffel Tower, most with cafes and gift shops. Do yourself a favor, if you commit to going up the Eiffel Tower - go to the top. TIP: Go early in the day as the lines get very long as the day moves on. Pre purchase your times for prescribed entry times. read more
Such a fun experience but for sure a crowded one and we went on a rainy day. We took the elevator to the top and the view is amazing even for it being on a raining day We decided to take the stairs down and it took about 45 mins to walk down them. There is a restaurant at the top of the tower but we did not get the chance to dine or even get close to stepping a toe into it. If you can not afford to go to the top at least take a walk around the area surrounding it lots of amazing photo ops But just like all tourist attractions there is many scam artists be aware of your surroundings. There is also a really fabulous night cruise you can take around the tower and around Paris read more

Paris has tourist traps to drain your wallet if you don't know how to navigate properly. For example, most museums are free on the first Sunday of every month, when the general charge admission is between €12 and €20. That being said, the Eiffel Tower is one exception you just have to grit your teeth and pay to go to the top. I would advise going after 6 PM. There is virtually no line, the view is much better at night, and it's less of a shit show with regard to crowds and getting knocked in the face by somebody stupid cell phone selfie. There's also a lovely Glade just outside of the tower that is perfect for booze and picnics. Lots of locals And tourists seem to go. There are a couple guys that float around and sell pretty terrible wine and beer, but I would advise bringing your own. If you do purchase from one of the floating vendors, just make sure you haggle because the wine only cost about €3 in principle. It's terrible wine, but wine nevertheless. Tower lights up after sunset every hour like a giant Christmas tree. read more
Have you ever been in love? I went to Paris with no expectations and I went home missing the Eiffel Tower. All I have with me now is my miniature Eiffel Tower *sigh* Eiffel Tower is gorgeous. He looks like a beast (not obese) during the day and he twinkles like a star after dark. I love watching this Parisian landmark at night. My favorite night involved seeing the tower from my hotel room before closing my eyes. You can see different colors of light, if you are lucky enough. This massive tower is 1,063 ft tall and has three levels for visitors. I went to the tower three times to take pictures, but I regretted climbing the tower only once. Take your time to explore each level. We were rushing on our last day before going to the airport, went to the wrong line and bought the wrong ticket :( We bought the 7,00 € ticket and that did not include the elevator ride to the top. My journey stopped at the second story. You have to pass the security check before going inside. You'll also see Parisian soldiers guarding their precious national icon. I even saw some of them kicking out two fake-petition girls. DO's and DON'Ts Do buy the elevator ticket. I will do that the next time I am at Paris. Do check to make sure you are waiting in line for the right ticket. Do check out the souvenir shops. The shops sell official Eiffel Tower merchandise and honestly they have better quality and some are cheaper than outside vendors. Do take a break and get coffee from the coffee shop. I didn't really care for its pastries, but my espresso was excellent. Do wear comfortable sneakers. It is not the time to wear your 5 inches Louboutins ;) Do empty your bladder before going in. I did not see any restroom. Do take a lot of pictures. The view is breathtaking. Do check the weather before you go up. Don't talk to strangers. There are so many scam artists (petition girls, gold ring scam, string/bracelet scam, rose scam etc) near the tower. It's better to be safe than sorry. Don't let anyone bump into you and don't let anyone touch you, no matter how cute they are. These pickpockets are experts. Don't climb up with an empty stomach. You can buy food at the cafe on the second floor though.. Honestly I am not an outside kind of girl and I don't really care for national landmarks. I felt so small (doh) when I was there and for a second all my worries went away. Should you buy from the vendors outside the tower? Sure! Just be very careful and make sure you watch your belongings. I bought keychains from one of the vendors and he even posed for the picture. I want to take you home, put you inside my pocket and carry you with me all day. I actually did that and attached you to my heart..I meant my car key. QUICK TIP: YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY TICKET IF YOU JUST WANT TO TAKE PICTURE. YOU CAN TAKE BEAUTIFUL PICTURES FROM THE OUTSIDE. 5 stars!! Je t'aime! You really do take my breath away ;) So, have you ever been in love before? I have. read more
In June 2017, I made a trip back to Eiffel Tower. I was 16 when I first went and now I am 32. This time was very memorable. I was by myself though as my father didn't want to go on the excursion. It was very crowded. We had lunch in the restaurant on the tower. I spent some time looking around the middle deck after lunch...also checked out souvenirs. I took a lot of selfies. The weather was perfect that day. Bright sunny sky. The Eiffel Tower is a treasure of the world. After we went to the Louvre. That's a perfect Paris day. Have to spend more time in Paris. read more
Obviously it was beautiful. Going up inside at night was gorgeous. The only downside were the constant barrage of people trying to sell ice and drinks on the lawn. No matter how many times you politely say no, they will not stop pestering you. It gets really annoying. Besides that, it's the most amazing experience in Paris. read more

When planning our European vacation, the Eiffel Tower was definitely on our list! We tried getting tickets to the summit ahead of time but were never able to get them. We ended up having to book a tour through a third party company that included tickets to the summit. That was a bit disappointing. Visiting the Eiffel Tower though was incredible. We went all the way up to the summit and enjoyed some pretty great views of Paris. Totally worth it if you've never done it before. Definitely a tourist thing to do...we'd stop by on our next trip but not sure we'd go up the tower again. There are guys selling trinkets all around the base of the tower and when you pass by, they'll ask if you want to buy anything. Once you said no, they leave you alone. Not as aggressive as others around Paris. read more

YELP 1600!!! The most iconic landmark of France. One of the most famous in the world. If you are in Paris, this has to be on your list of top 3 sites to see. If you want to go up the Eiffel Tower, book your ticket in advance! You skip all the queues and you go up the lift right away. It costs 11 euro to go to the 2nd floor. You can pay more to go to the top. The view from 2nd floor is really nice. You get a great view of Paris, Place du Trocadéro, and Champ de Mars. Taking the stairs down was pretty fun, you can see the steel construction up close. The 1st floor is not as impressive. During the day, the tower is cool and neat but when you see it lit up at night it is WOW! I definitely recommend seeing it at night and day, you get a completely different experience. Best photos views are at Champ de Mars. Do not worry about taking corny pictures, everyone is doing it!!! WARNING, be careful of gypsies!!! Kids will surround you and pick pocket you faster then you realize. Keep all your personal stuff protected! read more
As we started our descent into CDG, my son exclaimed "It's the Eiffel Tower!" from his window seat on the plane. This of course elicited a lot of chuckles from the cabin. But his excitement is definitely shared by the many tourists who visit Paris, especially first timers--it IS the Eiffel Tower and we are in one of the best cities in the world. One of the most iconic structures in the world, it was an architectural and engineering wonder at the time it was built. It also survived WWII and German occupation. It's had a couple upgrade (like improved elevators and the lights) but still stands so beautifully in Paris. The metal work, the latticework design. It's such a beautiful structure. You can admire the Eiffel tower up close or from afar, or visit one of the three levels open to the public. The lines--security and ticket lines-- can be really long. We opted out of going up the tower this visit as I have already been up there back when I was in college. My son found enough fun stuff to do like the carousel and getting ice cream. Which of course lends to a lot of great picture ops. There are a lot of souvenir hawkers as well. Go with them or go to one of the many shops if you're looking for Eiffel tower themed souvenirs. I hate writing this review. I miss seeing the Eiffel tower, I miss my morning croissant fresh from the boulangerie, I miss hearing "bounjour madam!" every time I walk into a shop. Because this is what the Eiffel tower becomes...a visual representation of a wonderful visit, a great vacation, but also hope for future visits. read more

I am 43 years old and have been dreaming of visiting the Eiffel Tower since I was 14 years of age. Finally was able to visit on 10/18/17 and it was everything I had hoped for, expected, and more. We ran to the tower as soon as we finished checking into our hotel, which was only a 20 minute walk away. Therefore, by the time we reached the tower it was about 8:30pm. Security is very strict here, but luckily we managed to avoid the massive lines and only waited about 15 minutes to cross security and about another 15-20 minutes to purchase the tickets on site. I highly recommend purchasing your ticket online, as soon as you know for sure what date and time you'll be visiting because I tried booking about three weeks prior to our trip and the tickets were sold out online. However, just because they sell out online does not mean they sell out on site. The advantage of online booking is avoiding the 2-3 hour lines, which we did observe during the day time on the days following our visit. Be aware though that if you miss your reservation date/time, you do lose the money and would need to purchase a new ticket. We did not dine in the tower restaurant, as we read reviews, and were also told by locals and acquaintances that the food and service are lacking. We did go up to the highest point in the tower and to the "second floor" and the views of the city are BREATHTAKING, at both levels. There is a museum on site and a gift shop. The sight of this tower impacts you differently between day and night. During the day you can appreciate the architectural details and grandness. In the evening it's like a giant christmas tree when it's all lit up, stirs up childlike feelings. I also recommend observing it from the Trocadero and the Arc de Triomphe. We also did the hop on hop off bus tour and when the bus drove up to the base of the tower, it was BREATHTAKING! So much so that I cried. Word of advise: beware of the street vendors selling trinkets, toys, selfie sticks, offering tours, offering "free flowers," etc, which are around the tower and pretty much all over the city, as we had read before our trip that these are scammers and/or pickpockets. This information was verified by an actual police officer while we were in Paris. read more

One of the most exhilarating experiences of my life! Beautiful landmark attraction was on my personal bucket list of things I want to do before I turn 40. This place did not disappoint. For 19 euros, you can go all the way to the very top of the Eiffel Tower and get an incredible view of the entire layout of Paris. Be warned though: not wheelchair/walker accessible/friendly, crammed space so you are nose to nose with other tourists, there are signs everywhere that tell you to be mindful of pick pockets as this is a big problem in this area. If you can get past being in an elevator with a lot of other people and long lines, it actually moves rather quickly and you get a good look at everything. read more
