I saw my friend post pictures of his food on Instagram, specifically a close up shot of RIBS. Now,…read moreanyone that knows me, knows that I love me some ribs....mmmmm, mmmm! When I asked him where he got the ribs, he said Famous Dave's. I knew that I had to try them out for myself. It was always one thing after another, but finally, I had time on a Wednesday afternoon. I didnt want to deal with a crowd and when I went, it was perfect. We were seated right away. Our service was Yanira and she was awesome. So friendly, answering all of our questions. I got the ribs and meat meal since I also wanted to try their chopped pork. My sides were Mac and Cheese and Tater Tots. When my order came, I got their special fries and before I could even say anything, another server came with a bowl of my tater tots apologizing for the mistake. No complaints here since I got another side. Everything was delicious. The ribs were tender. I also loved their BBQ sauce. I was going to order water, but since it was a special occassion, i ordered a Dr. Pepper and I was surprised that it came in a large mason glass jar. The Dr. Pepper wasn't peppering.....if you know you know, it just didnt taste strong, but I did enjoy that the drink was ice cold. They dont have coke, but serve pepsi products. The cornbread was perfection, warm and buttery. Disclaimer, the Mac and Cheese had corn in it, just stating if you care about that sort of thing. It was more on the saucy cheesy side. I never had Mac and Cheese like that, but since I love Mac and Cheese and I love corn so it was hit in my world. Portions are huge and I had to take some food home. Prices seem comparable to other places that serve BBQ. Lots of seating areas and I can see on special occasions or on the weekends, this place could get packed. Plenty of parking. This restaurant is off Winton, in the area where Panera is at. If you go all the way to the mall you have gone too far. I know that I will be coming back, I am curious to try their burnt tips. They have a loyalty program. You can sign up before, it is simple, or sign up there as you are eating.

Excellent sauce flavor, plus on the tables they have an assortment of sauces to add a little kick. The chicken and ribs were cooked to perfection. The meat fell right off the bone. The pork was so tender it melted in your mouth. The beans and coleslaw had great flavors. The plate included some cornbread that was baked with honey and butter that gave it a nice crust on top. Utensils are provided but don't be afraid to use your hands..it is a bbq joint. Hand wipes are available at every table if you get messy. Plenty of tables and booths for your comfort and large parties. A full bar with big screen tvs for game day or just to chill with friends. Give them a try.

Finally I found my All LEAN BBQ Pork after its disappearance starting about 10 years ago. LEAN BBQ…read morepork disappeared because 1) Lots of the customers that grew up in the 70's are either retired or passed away. Not that many of them left. 2) The new immigrants LOVE animal fat & MSG. These are the younger folks that have green notes to spend. I have been going from one Chinese BBQ shops to another for the last few years. None of those even heard of LEAN BBQ pork. I know about this place for many years. I never bother to check because of their cash policy. I haven't have a wallet for almost 10 years & I use Apple Pay for everything. I bought a pound of LEAN BBQ pork today & a chicken today. Although I'm not used to buying by the pound, prices seemed fair and straightforward. Roast pork and pork belly were being sold at $17 per pound. BBQ pork and pork ribs were at $14.99 per pound. A whole roast duck went for $30 (half for $16), and a whole chicken for $28 (half for $15). It was hard to see any of the meat because of all the flyers covering the glass. Regardless, I snuck a peek at the roast pork and ordered a full pound. The butcher was on automatic pilot and ended up chopping about 1-3/4 pounds. After she put the pork on the scale, I agreed to the overage, and she charged me a flat $30, which to her credit, was just a quarter over the price (photo: https://bit.ly/3ndWYwK). When I got it home for Jamie W. and me, we frankly liked the fatty-tasty flavor and hard crunchy skin. We had enough leftovers for an army of bulimic supermodels. We came during lunch time on a weekday and coming in, it was PACKED!…read more Wait, really? Yes, we had to register our name in the front just to get in without a reservation. Thankfully, the wait wasn't long and we were seated after waiting for about 10 minutes. The neon lights and the interior makes it very Texan-ish. There was a meat display case at the front to which I couldn't help but look. They were mostly ribeye steak, it is kinda cool as you get to see the butcher behind the counter prepping food. We were sat at a booth and I ordered a prime rib sandwich while my wife ordered a rack of ribs with a side of sweet potato and Caesars salad. No pictures from me this time, you know why? As quickly as the food came to the table, we gobbled them up like kids. They were DELICIOUS! I was extremely surprised at their prime rib sandwich that it has legit prime rib meat inside. I know, it's silly to not expect prime rib inside a prime rib sandwich but honestly most places that I've had it, it's just not prime rib. Not at Texas Roadhouse! This prime rib sandwich was one of a kind with mushrooms and grilled unions inside. The meat portion was handsome and it came with a side of fries. The meat is about medium rare and they are extremely tender to fit perfectly with their butter bun. This sandwich I have to say is one of the best sandwiches that I've ever had and believe me, I've had a LOT of sandwiches in my lifetime. It's greasy, but if you don't mind it and love prime rib like me you'll be in love with this sandwich. I spoke about how much I liked the sandwich to my waiter and he told me they've literally just printed the flyer and everyone's ordering it. I know, people are here for their steaks but if you ask me...just get the sandwich and ditch the rest lol. I'll be back again real soon.

We used to order the prime rib all the time, although it can sell out early. My current favorite is the bone-in ribeye, which I now order on almost every visit. It's juicy, flavorful, and has that delicious smoky, char-grilled flavor that makes every bite so good. The sides are worth mentioning too. My favorites include the mashed potatoes, chili, seasoned corn, and seasoned rice. Their drinks are also good, and I usually order the Skinny Margarita. The restaurant always has a lively, casual atmosphere that's perfect for dinner with family or friends. It gets busy almost every day, so I highly recommend joining the online waitlist before heading over!

a chicken katsu that measures out to two meals, great deal alert!…read more so I have been here many times, tried the chicken katsu, hawaiian bbq chicken, aloha bbq chicken, and white island fish, which is about half the menu, and always great and always filling so a chicken katsu comes with two scoops of rice, one scoop of mac salad, a small bed of cabbage, some steamed brocolli, and three crispy and juicy pieces of chicken. There are two dipping sauces, a plum based katsu sauce, and a soy sauce hybrid. The katsu sauce has a little bit of heat, but mild enough that my SO whom normally does not eat any spicy, can handle it. Which ever combo or item you pick, it's outstanding. Because the items have a lot of food, I usually skip the appetizers. So for either lunch or dinner, you have two meals out of any items. Service is great, I usually order on the phone and pick it up, but ordering in person or online is fast, staff is great and friendly. the decor is simple and the place is very clean. There are about seven tables and parking can be limited when the place is busy.

Pretty convenient…read morewhen you want that grilled taste without all the preparation -- I saw groups that just grilled skewers and took them to go. The grill was as big as it could be, for the size of the restaurant. But I could imagine when its busy it would take a while to get space on the grill. Luckily when I went this weekend, it wasn't busy and we had a lot of grill space to cook our food quickly. Was impressed by the chicken isaw! It wasn't bitter so you know it was clean. Also, I liked the longanisa! The sweetness was good with the suka. I got the cantaloupe juice, it was good but didn't have any shredded cantaloupe. Would come back though, maybe on a night where they have a DJ. Vibes!

Bruh, I was going to comment that the hours are silly on this Yelp page, went to go double check…read moretheir Google page and apparently it's permanently closed? I'm gonna check with my NorCal moots about this but sucks if that's true. I was going to comment on how this is one of few bastions of affordable, slightly more unique food in the bay area, but I guess that's not the case. I'm spoiled by having a Dollar Hits in SoCal literally down the street from me so I can't say this place compares, but it's at least an option for NorCal, you know? This definitely used to be another restaurant, but then retrofitted to be a grill. Super large grill in the middle for everyone to communally cook at indoors. This is a good combination between the outdoors grill it yourself and the indoors seating of both the SoCal Dollar Hits, so I thought that was nice. They have all the classics here, isaw (sometimes Dollar Hits doesn't have this unless you request -it's chicken intestines), large intestines, chicken skin, kwek kwek (battered quail eggs), and Tender Juicy bright red filipino hot dogs (a must). You can also order a side of rice and the sauces were self serve (made it a bit sticky). It gets a bit smoky in there even with the fans, but overall had an enjoyable time the time when I did visit.
