The atmosphere is intimate and cosy making-up for the lack of natural light (though there are some tables in the narrow pedestrian street outside)
The welcome and service were cordial and the food fresh, imaginative and somewhat more refined than the staple Umbrian farmhouse fare, without being fussy, and served in ample quantities. We paid €20/head for a light lunch of 2 courses with wine and coffee (in Summer 2013), which we thought was reasonable. My only reservation; the patate ripassate seemed to have been clumsily fried to a crisp, rather than sautéed.
Most of the other guests seemed like Italian locals, which is a big plus in a town so heavily populated by tourists, which makes eating here feel a bit more special.
