Very nice restaurant- we went with the tasting menu in order to get a sampling of all the culinary delights that the lake Garda area had to offer. See my pics for details! Everything was fresh, and the flavors and combinations were creative. The pastas and raw fish apps were my own personal favorites, but that is truly a matter of personal taste (I'm not a superfan of super "fishy" fish dishes. Been in Italy about 5 days and this was my fave food so far! So why less than 5 stars?
1)All the "fishy" fish. Wish there had been a bit more variety. I don't need to be eating sardine in 3 different courses, right? I mean, maybe it was for continuity or something, who knows. Also, already having sardine, did we need saor?
2)In the middle of dinner there was an hour long break because vandals tripped the town's system of air raid sirens and all the power went out to the town (and we had to listen to the sirens too). And the whole hour it took to get the power back on we basically just had to sit in darkness. They did comp us a free glass of wine for this trouble which was nice, but it was kind of crazy! An experience to be sure. :)
Overall, I deffo recommend this place if you're in the area- just make a rezzie so you get the view! read more
