I stopped in to grab a few bunches so I could build my partner a custom bouquet at home -- roses, winter peonies, and lilies that were all fresh, full, and priced better than anywhere else around here. The customer service at this location is phenomenal. The lady at the register saw the flowers and asked what I was making. When I told her I was building a bouquet myself for my partner, she lit up and said, "That's how you do it." Little moments like that just make the experience feel personal. Trader Joe's employees always bring good energy, and it shows. I took everything home, trimmed the stems, mixed the colors, and built the bouquet with my own hands. The roses brought the romance, the winter peonies added that soft winter elegance, and the lilies tied the whole thing together like a final touch only she would notice. While I was there I also grabbed steaks to cook her dinner later that night. Between the flowers and the meal, Trader Joe's basically gave me everything I needed to make the whole evening special without running all over town.
