We also had wine, and their selection is quite extensive. They offered complimentary limoncello when they brought the check, which was a nice touch. Prices are very reasonable, and the place is beautifully decorated, we were joking that it felt like we were in Italy. One thing to note is that you're expected to order at least one dish per person, which is fair given the quality of the food. On the downside, the service leaves a lot to be desired. When we arrived there was no host, and several people were waiting around. It seemed like no one had been acknowledged until I stepped in to ask. The attitude came across as arrogant and we experienced a similar vibe from the waitstaff. It feels like the restaurant may be suffering from its own success: great food and lots of attention, but service hasn't kept up. Would I go back? Absolutely yes.

We must have hit it at a perfect time because at 10PM on a Tuesday we went right in and got a table for 3. Lots of other shops & restaurants were close by in case you needed to walk off your dinner. For that meal (yes we went back a second time!) we chose the lasagna & for an appetizer we chose the fonduta 5 fromaggi to snack on. It was a huge portion & OMGoodness was it delicious!!! The lasagna was served, and it was also a hearty portion. I'm a lasagna snob because I make my own, & it's very seldom that any I get at a restaurant that tastes anywhere as good as mine is. But the hefty slice we got at La Vita E Bella was delicious as well. It tasted every bit as good as mine, if not better. I like lots of meat & not a ton of ricotta cheese in it. We finished most of the lasagna (that we split) & we ate about 90% of the cheese bread appetizer. I'd most definitely recommend their restaurant!! We returned the next day for a pizza to split. It was awesome as well!! The service (Marco was our server) on our first visit & Alejandro for our second trip was attentive without being over bearing. Marco is the one that suggested the 5 cheese baked bread yum!! We sat outside in the open air & watched people go by both visits. Nice, we would eat there again, but we had to move on to another city in Spain.

This was a nice place until this italian guy was working. he was complaining of how tired he was. probably was hungover. he was extremely rude to me and refused to serve me a beer in a proper pint glass. he served me in a small paper cup. i tried to explain i would sit down and possibly eat a pizza to be served in a proper glass. he was extremely rude and told me no. the paper cup was half the size of a pint glass and i explained this to a waitress. she was nice and tried to talk to him but he was rude to her to. this place needs to get rid of staff that treat people badly. after that he was yelling at me in front of everyone so i told him well give me my money and ill go get a proper beer elsewhere. he slammed my money on the counter and was being extremely ugly. for people including staff members to see that this kind of behavior is accepted is not a good look for the business or customers. he really made me angry so i took a photo of him. he then tried to grab my phone out of my hands getting physical with me. in no way is all that worth one beer. management should fire him.

While you can't choose anything in particular, you can rule out toppings if you detest something or have a food allergy. I went here recently with a two friends, and ordered six pizettes to share. All of them were surprisingly good, and it was fun not knowing quite what was on each one until we bit in. However, there didn't turn out to be quite as much variety as we expected - all the toppings were mostly variations on different cheeses, with some hame and salami thrown in. There was nothing particularly unique or exciting, which might have been a good thing ;-) All told, this is a fun place to eat with friends; I'm sure I'll be back!

It was by far the best pasta I had in Valencia, and also in most other cities I have visited IN THE WORLD. I wish I had been hungrier and could have ordered the tasting menu, which is really worth it considering how many dishes you get to try, but I knew I didn't want to waste precious stomach space on appetizers and just wanted to fill my tummy with pasta. I was torn between the spaghetto chitarra, the taglioni tartufo, and the pappardelle with mushrooms (porcini), but I decided on the spaghetto since the pictures of this pasta was what had drawn me to this restaurant in the first place. This place is also the second place I have ever gone to that offers this type of pasta (it is nothing like your typical spaghetti so flush that from your mind). It really reminds me of a type of Asian egg noodle, especially the texture, and is really delicious and chewy. I'm so sad I am now at the airport about to fly away from this restaurant. Sad times.
