Had a fantastic meal here! Wow, we were shocked how delicious the food was! We were expecting mediocre tourist food, but no, our meals were perfectly seasoned, cooked, and prepared. We ordered the duck and the chicken along with a green salad and potatoes gratin. See images for evidence! Table service was good and our waiter was very handsome and polite. Atmosphere was pleasant. We sat outside. The tables outside are arranged very, very close together, so if you want space this may not be your place. Also, make a reservation. It gets busy. I would absolutely recommend eating here if you staying in the Chamonix city center and you are looking for a French cuisine with all the traditional favorites. The price is good too! Each individual entree is about 25 euros, house wine is 9euro a glass. The multi course dining prefix is around 35 euros. Fine food for an affordable dining price. This was an excellent dining discovery for us after a long day hiking in the mountains. read more

I love that they have the option for combos, this makes it possible for even students to afford to experience multiple items on the menu!! Their starter and dessert were great while I would say that the entrees were good. Nothing was disappointing and the experience was very very satisfactory - so much so that my family felt the need to toast half a dozen times but maybe that was the Sainte Apolline red wine haha And despite giving them a few inconveniences, they handled everything quickly and without attitude!!! read more

A wonderful little place. Good service, broad menu of local cuisine. Excellent little place at the foot of Mont Blanc. Excellent value.

This was the fondue I was looking for! The only problem? There was so much that I felt a little embarrassed when we couldn't finish it all. We went with the fondue "cochonaille", which was a three-cheese fondue with bread chunks for dipping, a basket of whole steamed potatoes to help cut the richness, and a plate of fantastic charcuterie on the side for variety. The fondue was great, the charcuterie was solid, and the service was quite good. A little bit on the fancier end, but ski-town fancy so we didn't feel out of place in jeans and decent shirts. Definitely a place I'd go back to next time I visit! read more

La Tablee was recommended to me by local in Chamonix, and despite the multi-lingual menus, delivers high-quality, well-cooked French food at reasonable prices. The FOOD: **We started with the best escargot I've ever had. Delightfully tender snails were served in a yummy bath of butter, garlic, and herbs. Not chewy at all.. Absolutely excellent. **My main course was a Magret de canard....a beautifully cooked bit of duck. The duck was super-flavorful, with lovely well-rendered fat and skin, and a mildly sweet sauce. Accompanied by roasted potatoes. Also very delicious looking veal ribs (I've never seen this before) and a lovely fondue were ordered by my companions. Everyone was quite satisfied with the food. SERVICE was friendly but relaxed. Standard French pacing...not rushed at all, but sufficiently attentive to not feel ignored. The ATMOSPHERE is lovely with a nice outdoor patio and views of Mont Blanc. The VALUE was excellent as in a party of 4 with a starter, main, and 2 desserts among the 4 of us, and a glass of house wine, worked out to 25 Euro/person. While on skiing trip we visited this restaurant. It is decorated in light and natural style with lot of agricultural props. It's pricy, but that's normal for Chamonix. You will pay 30-40 euros minimum / head with alcohol. We went for the 32 euro menu option. The starter was very large and came on well dressed plates. The main dish was tasty but was looking very simple. I would have expected it to be a bit more fancy for the price. The dessert was again very good and well dressed. Food quality in general was great, servers very nice and spoke good English. Menus are a good choice. There is also no WIFI ... I leave it up to you to decide if this is a positive or a negative feature! :) read more

Started out with a bottle of wine for 2, and they timed everything really well around our pace. 6 piece snail for an appetizer with bread. Was my first time eating escargot, came in a buttery pesto that was really good for dipping bread. For an entree I got the quinoa prawns. Cheesey, balsamicy, rich ans creamy, well portioned, not too full, definitely not hungry. Would definitely recommend. read more

La Tablée is an outstanding restaurant. The food is unique, filled with herbs and spices to create fantastic culinary experience. We were introduced to new flavors of France. We had a preset 7 course dinner for New Year's Eve. What a perfect way to welcome the new year! Also the owner and the manager are super warm and friendly people. I was very disappointed to find a wadded-up wet, brown paper towel buried in my salad. The waitress, who was previously somewhat unfriendly, was apologetic and explained that it was just a paper towel that one of the chefs used to dry his hands with that somehow fell into my salad. Super gross. They offered to replace the salad and offered me a "small glass of alcohol" but that was it. I've never had something like that happen before and the unfriendly staff just made it worse. Very friendly. Great service. You should call and make a reservation, even for lunch during busy season. I called in the morning and they transferred me to someone who speaks English. Was able to make reservations same day for lunch. The food was great. The foie gras was great with the prosciutto and perfectly poached egg. We did the set menu for lunch that comes with appetizer, main course and dessert for lunch. Good deal for a ski town if you're looking for variety. (Set meals range from 24e-36e). read more
