Totally authentic and terrific in every category. Great ambiance. centuries old building with totally enclosed outside dining and people watching area as well as inside dining. Food was terrific. Made, and served with love by the owner who is from the region the house specialties originate. Strasbourg is in the Alsace and if you want authentic "Chaoucroute" you want someone who learned it there. Our wonderful and engaging host ( I forgot to ask her name) probably learned the secret of cooking with love from her Mommy and brings that love to this Quaint location in Martigues. Just so happened that day her beautiful daughter was there for our Sunday afternoon family brunch. My wife grew up in Marseille ( by way of Vietnam) We live in Los Angeles. I grew up in NY but have called LA my home for 40 years. My experience with sauerkraut is on hot dogs and with corned beef. This local ( to Alsace that is) dish is made with love about 500 miles south at this terrific place, along with a bunch of other Alsace favorites by the terrific staff at the Table of Alsace.
