The restaurant we planned on going to for dinner was closed, so we opted for La Taberna because it was open, had plenty of seating, and had decent prices. We shared a chivito (sandwich with pork, cheese, lettuce, mayo) for 5.50 euros and fried cheese with a blueberry mermelade. The chivito was OK (not the best we've had, and it also didn't come with bacon or a fried egg like it often does) and the cheese was delicious (you can't go wrong with fried cheese, right? And if you do go wrong with fried cheese, leave immediately). One major issue was that the restaurant was very under-staffed, and therefore service was really slow. Really slow. We don't fault the employees though because they were doing the best they could, and our waitress was really nice. All in all, a decent option if you don't have many other options. But if you're looking for a special meal, go elsewhere. Oh, one pro was they have chupitos (shots) for 1 euro though! One nice additional touch :) read more
