    Nachos

A group of us stopped in while bar hopping for the football games and decided after a morning of drinks we needed to grab some grub and a few more cocktails. I will say I love the pub vibes and the fact that they offer free Wi-Fi. We were able to get a table right in front of the games which was a huge plus. I will say though service was a bit lacking. We didn't receive any of the chips and salsa until our food arrived and after not eating all day it was much needed. I opted for a Paloma and we decided to split some nachos. The Paloma was a bit sweet and lack luster to me. I will say the nachos had good flavor and gave us something in our stomachs. Overall was pretty good, but may try elsewhere if I did come back to Ensenada.

Really cool spot, very welcoming, a lot of foot traffic coming through. Reasonably priced. I came here on Sunday and it was really cool. They had a trio and they allow you to sing. Good spot will probably be back again if I'm ever in the area.

Found this place on Yelp . Food was ok . Service not so great . They brought my food out first and my kids had to wait another 15min for their . No silverware and they only had one person taking orders and one person brining the food out . Not sure how crowded inside but outside service was not great !

3 fried fish tacos for $5!! Can't be beat! Crispy and delicious!

Great place after walking Ensenada from the cruise ship. Margaritas are two for $6! In decent size glasses and we could taste the alcohol. Hooray! An order of 3 crispy fish tacos cost $5. Delicious! We ended up with frozen mango daiquiris for two glasses for $6. Staff are very friendly and the fish tacos were hot and crispy and on point. Large nachos platter was huge! Be back next time we are in town from the cruise ship.

This place is excellent! Love going for food, margaritas, micheladas and the great service. I go every year from the cruise ship and it's a blast. The food is delicious and the 2 margaritas for 5 dollars is a bargin! Our waiter is so nice, very funny and a great guy. Definitely try this place.

Had to use the restroom and ended up getting two margaritas for $5. Crazy how that happens. Super good- she used cranberry juice- different, but yummy. It was a Wednesday afternoon and we sat in their other little area and looked at the city & people watched. Laid back bar atmosphere, and they had live music. Good times.

    Chicken nachos, guacamole, and margaritas.

On our annual cruise to Ensenada, we ALWAYS make sure to stop at La Taberna. They have the best margaritas and food. The staff is very helpful and kind. We usually come in quite a big group, and they are able to to accommodate us easily. We like to sit on the patio and enjoy the surroundings. Our favorite food item is the queso fundido, you must try it!

This place is awesome. Just what we needed. The food is really good. The service is fantastic. They have cool local beer on tap. And Fireball shots were top top. Easy to find from the port and worth hanging out here for awhile. And clean bathrooms...major plus.

Good margaritas, cheap beer. Good food. $30 USD for 4 people with full entree and alcohol. Great deal.

what an awesome little spot just off to the side of the street. it sits on the corner of the side…read moreroad to which we turn in to get to Casa Encinares B&B. It's an outdoor wooden shack, no doors. we noticed it because there was a sign that said "beer" and we saw lots of people there. our host at the B&B told us we must try it before we leave, so we did. as soon as we sat down at the bar, a big tall gentleman came to greet us. he spoke perfect english and made some awesome recommendations. BF had a couple of beers (cant remember what they were, but i believe it was local), and because i wasn't planning on drinking more (we just got done with a small winery tasting tour), but Chris recommended i try the cocktiel de guayaba, its a bourbon cocktail with guava! It was only 40 pesos and if the owner recommends me.....why would i refuse? we were super hungry so we wanted something light and Chris recommended the pulpo ceviche (100 pesos). My drink was ridiculously tasty as i am a huge guava fan and the bourbon balances the sweetness of the guava with the liquor. the pulpo (octopus) ceviche was wonderful and delicious with just the right portion and served with thin tortilla chips. Chris was so kind and chatted with us almost the entire time we were there. i HIGHLY recommend stopping by here for a quick drink and light bite even if you are here to explore the wines in this wine country. my only mistake was that we came here after having drank so much already from visiting all the wineries!

Lots of seating , friendly staff, fresh ingredients and delicious tacos. These were authentic, flavorful and pure goodness. I came here during lunch hour on a Monday and it seemed moderately busy. Quite the cozy place, very comfortable and it was decorated with Christmas decor. I was seated quickly, and my order was taken efficiently. Chips and salsa quickly came out along with the condiments I would later use on my meal. Overall, I received excellent table service. The focus of this restaurant is on Birria, both beef and lamb. There isn't a variety of other Mexican dishes here such as enchiladas, burritos or seafood. There is instead a plethora of ways to eat the Birria including tacos, quesa-birria, and stew bowls only in beef or lamb. No chicken or vegetarian options available. I ordered the lamb Birria, which came in a standard sized bowl. The portions were modest, and the ratio from broth to chunks of meat was reasonable. While this place was highly rated, I found my meal to be average in both size and taste. When it comes to this delicious dish, I am a bit of a connoisseur, and I've had birria in different parts of Mexico, including Mexicali, Guadalajara, Ensenada and outside of Mexico- restaurants throughout Los Angeles and all the way up to northern California. This was not the best tasting birria I have experience up-to-date but it also was not disappointing. The flavors were standard and fair yet not memorable. I would recommend this establishment. Tip: my usual order at these places is the stew in a bowl with a side of corn tortillas. For those with larger appetites, I would suggest ordering the same thing, but consider adding one-to-two quesa-Birrias to reach satisfaction. I would return here but also leave my options open to try the competition.
