Service: Friendly workers, but quite forgetful and all over the place. Messed the order up, I'm not sure how carne asada burrito turns into tacos. That isn't the issue for me, things happen and I don't hold that against anyone. Ambiance/Atmosphere: Inside matched the outside. Clean, well decorated. Inside was spacious and well lit. Definitely a local type of spot. Food: This is where it went all wrong. The food is just not good. I hate putting business's down, but the carne asada burrito was awful. I essentially got a vegetarian burrito. I'll say the fillings were fresh and it was great tasting a nice fresh guacamole. There was little to no meat which defeats the purpose of a carne asada burrito which should be the stand out. I'd say it's like eating a worse Taco Bell burrito. I want to have faith that it was a bad day. Someday maybe I'll return to give this place another shot, because my experience did not match the reviews I'd seen previously. read more

I ordered six tacos and a side of rice. The menu said $3.75 per taco and $6.99 for the side of rice. But I was charged $ 4.65 per taco and the $ 6.99 side of rice barely had any in the 4x4 small container. I got a dollars' worth of rice for $6.99 The food tasted alright and it was not worth how much I was charged. read more

I eat here for lunch at work frequently. I love their food. It's always fresh. It's always delicious the attention to details is amazing and I'm never disappointed and they've actually made me disappointed when I go to other restaurants and expect the same level of quality in their food. Can't say enough good things about them so happy that they're in business. read more

Yum yum yum great authentic mexican food plenty of choices and great cooks a must try my favorite are the beef flautas

Convinced my family to take me here for Father's Day dinner and what a mistake. They overcharged us (not even getting into) and were very slow. My daughter got the wrong quesadilla, my wife's tacos were dry and not tasteful. They forgot to bring my rice with my burrito. What more can I say? They were more concerned, serving their regulars and doing takeout orders than taking care of their new customers. I will never step my feet in that place again. read more

I am so sad. Have been going to Super Torta for years, told everyone who would listen how good it is. Sadly we recently got takeout & it was almost inedible, the cheese was so weird, processed slop with no pull or texture, the meat was filled with gristle, it didn't have the same flavor. Does anyone know if it's under new ownership? read more

Hands down a top 3 experience. Super nice folks. Counter ordering is quick and easy. Go for the Torta, which is made with perfectly toasted bread. The Pastor is out of this world. Awesome music playing in the background. Delicious experience. I'll be back for sure. read more

It had been years since our last visit and man, did I miss this place! It wasn't too busy when we first came in, so we ordered to eat in: a fountain soda, chips and salsa, and two mixto tortas. Chips were still warm from being freshly made (drool) and nothing is better than a cold fountain soda. Man. La Super Torta makes a truly super torta. Awesome bread, full of good ingredients and flavor. I love the roasted jalapeños! It ended that we took our food to-go because the small restaurant filled up with people (I'm not so keen on sitting next to a table full of people coughing anymore) But other than that, it was perfect. One of my favorite bites in Columbus! read more

Great food friendly staff! Not really big inside but great to sit and eat if on the go.

I love tortas, so when I came across Super Torta I had to try it. The customer service was excellent and helpful. I just ordered a regular Pastor Torta with lettuce and mayo and a side of fries. The food came out pretty quick. The torta was a good size and the fries were hot and fresh. They gave me a couple of sauces that were a little too spicy for me. They gave me plenty of meat on my torta, I would've liked a little more mayonnaise though. The fries were just standard-issue fried with a hint of salt, but they weren't bad. I will come back and try the Cubana torta next time! Torta 1-5=4. Fries 1-5=2.5. Customer Service 1-5=5. read more

Well the restaurant closes at 9pm on Saturday night... and we came into a packed house at 8:15. Street corn was available and noted by a paper sign and we were off to an enjoyable meal. Torta for everyone and some delicious beverages. The asada was cooked well and seasoned on the flat top. Avocado, cheese, on a toasted crispy bun. Mexican sodas were abound. The restroom, was not the cleanest and the urinal had a trash bag on it. So, if excellent food and flavor are your main focus... 5 stars. Decor is number on the table, order at the counter, and sit to enjoy! read more

They were nice, very clean, and had good variety. The torta cubana, and the milanesa were bad. Milanesa was undercooked and chewy. They put two slices of tomatoes, two slices of avocado, and the lightest layer of beans. The green salsa was good, and the Mexican Coke too. Sadly, will not be going back. read more

Very disappointed the food was not good at all. It was like sausage barbecue. It was really not good.

I got the Milanasa Torta 2 days after the Adobada Torta that was awesome! This one was good just not the same level as the other. Service is sooo great and will keep going back. read more

The food and service are great here. We've been here many times and the employees seem to genuinely care. They are so patient even if you're indecisive and have a lot of questions and they are always friendly. They don't skimp on the portions and we've never had a bad experience here. The food is pretty consistent and always flavorful. My husband likes the tortas but I like the burritos and tacos. My husband says the bread for the tortas is better than many other places we've tried and the portions are really good! It's got plenty of seating for a small place and it's clean. It's in the little strip mall next to Dollar General on the same side of the road as U-Haul and Lifetime, across from the credit union. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is on the inside, silly! read more

It was our first time trying tortas, and we will certainly be back!! The pastor was phenomenal and service was so fast.

I love tortas and hadn't found a place in the area that I really liked and am so glad I was able to try this place. The inside is a little small and crowded, but the food definitely makes up for it! The tortas are so flavorful and filling. The portions are huge for the price and you will certainly leave full! You are able to choose what meat you want on your torta and I chose al pastor. They also have toppings like lettuce, tomato, mayo, and jalapeño. All the toppings were flavorful and fresh tasting. Definitely a must-try! read more

La Super Torta - Mexican Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

Driven by this place for decades and finally decided to give them a go. Tortas are what they're known for and they do them very well. They have waves of customers so be wise when you go because it could be empty or shoulder to shoulder busy. I've had other places make me tortas and they took a long time to make yet the inside barely had anything in them. Furthermore, they didnt or wouldn't cook and or press the outside of the Sandwhich. This place not only packed the MIXED torta but pressed it as well making it nice and crispy. The 3 amigos burrito was a different story though. The GOOD: Humongous and unfortunately that's all I can say about it. The BAD: The burrito had chiccarones in it which is a real pork rind, not the snacks you get at a corner store or something but what makes a chicarrone good is the crispy bacon-y outter layer crunch to balance out the fatty mushy part of the chiccarone. These chiccarones didn't have that or if they did, everything else in the burrito cancelled it out with the other moist ingredients. You know that pork cube in the middle of a can of pork and beans? The chiccarone in our burrito was like a long piece of that in our burrito. Outside of the chiccarone component I couldn't taste any of the other ingredients as it the taste and texture was kinda jumbled and bunched up together like it was all in a blender and then placed in the burrito. It wasn't a gross or nasty burrito at all and kinda tasted like the mixed Torta but there's nothing about it that set it apart from what we already tasted. Cheese inside the Three Amigos burrito and maybe pressing the burrito on the grill to give it a slightly crispy outside would have been a nice touch. Their fries there are AWESOME and so was the CUSTOMER SERVICE. Again the TORTA was spot on, the fries and customer service was A1 quality but the burrito was a no go and maybe we just ordered the wrong burrito. The majority of customers in there were ordering tacos so we'll definitely be back and possibly try the tacos next time because maybe their main customer base knows something about what to pick off the menu we didn't. read more

I had been meaning to try this place for a while! I finally came for dinner on Friday. While I've been to the Hilltop neighborhood before, I had not been to this part. This seems like a busy area of town. The casino is also close by. They've got a parking lot that they share with other businesses but I had no trouble finding a spot. When we came in, we saw mostly Hispanic folks. Awesome! Must mean this place is close to authentic if not so. The space is red all over, from the walls to the booths. And they've got TVs playing music videos and the Virgin Mary up on one wall. My sisters and I went up to the counter. I got three tacos: lengua, al pastor, and chicharrón. Yum! They were all so good! Flavorful and probably the best tacos I've had in all of Columbus. The seasoning is a bit toned down but it was just right. They gave us two bottles of sauces to give the tacos a nice kick. My older sister got a tostada tinga with an adobada taco. She loved it! My other sister got three tacos as well: adobada, chicken, and barbacoa. She thought they were very good and that the chicken was juicy. My older sister and I both got horchatas as well. So so good! The place didn't get super busy but there was a constant flow of families coming in and out. Service was great as well! Everyone had smiles. I'm sure they get lots of repeat customers. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time and already can't wait to go back. My place of employment is not far from this restaurant and I was in the mood for Mexican...so glad that I searched on yelp for places nearby (Thanks Yelp)! I had a chicken quesadilla and two tacos - carnitas and steak. I tasted the quesadilla in the car on the way to my destination. It was DELICIOUS and super cheesy! My preference for the tacos was the carnitas. This is only because the steak in my steak taco was dry, BUT, it didn't lack flavor. This is definitely my new "go-to" spot for authentic Mexican food. All of the great reviews were spot on! read more

I always have a wonderful time coming to this place for lunch or dinner. I usually get the burrito or the quesadilla and they're always delicious. I'm not the biggest fan of spur cream so I'll get their quesadilla with no dour cream and it'll still be loaded with delicious toppings. You get a good portion of chicken if you get chicken. With the burrito, it's the same and no beans. So delicious! Easily 4.5 out of 5. read more

Everything was super delicious and made fresh to order. The food comes out, hot and quickly. My sister and I saw something come out of the kitchen that looked amazing called Tlayuda and we had to try it. it was a big crispy tortilla on a pan layered with black beans, chorizo, cheese, lettuce, avocado, and a few different meats. It was outstanding, and we had the best time trying something new. my niece got an enormous burrito, which she thought was delicious, and my brother-in-law got a torta which also looked amazing. The portion sizes are large and we all took stuff home. A few people at the table next to me got a dish that came with a whole fried fish. it looked and smelled absolutely delicious and it was amazing how quickly it came out of the kitchen. Would definitely go back as there are many other things I want to try. read more

In a shopping center I probably wouldn't have gone to otherwise until La Super Torta was recommended. This little restaurant was a nice little find in a neighborhood close to me. I got their tacos. They are sold per taco street taco style. Their tortas are their specialty item. They are kind of like Mexican Philly cheese-steak sandwiches. They are large and could probably be made into two meals. Overall the food was pretty good. read more

Every time I come here the food is always good. I always get a chicken torta and a side or guacamole. The guacamole is my favorite!! THESE TORTAS ARE GOOD!!!! As a Mexican that was born and raised in Mexico, I'm always having trouble finding good Mexican places, but this one is fantastic. So I've been eating a mostly plant-based diet for the past couple of months. La Super Torta is one place that I have no problem skipping a veggie-based meal. This place is outstanding! It's located in a strip mall on Georgesville Rd not that far from 270. There's also a halal meat shop & a Peruvian restaurant in the same strip mall if you feel like going on a food-venture while you're over there. I'm one of those people who once I find something that I like at place, that's what I order every time. At Super Torta, that would be the carnitas taco & the tinga tostada. The price is right and the food comes out fast so this is a great spot for a quick, cheap lunch or dinner. read more

Yum! This is truly an authentic place and a hidden gem in the Columbus area. The employees were very friendly, the menu options are great, and the food is good. My friends and I came for dinner one night, and I tried two of the tacos, both of which had great flavor. My friends had tortas, which they also enjoyed. The food was fast, fresh, and overall I really enjoyed this place. This is my husband and my favorite authentic mexican stop. When we lived on this side of town we would go here once, even twice, a week. Now that we live on the opposite side of town, we drive over here to still get this food! I absolutely love any torta, burrito, or any other form of food with the adobada meat (marinated pork). I have tried a lot of their other meats too and am never disappointed! The adobada is just on a different level. Depending on what you order, the food will come with a side. For instance, tortas are served with pickled jalapenos and carrots. While burritos are served with cucumber. All meals also come with a green and a red hot sauce. They are both extremely delicious! I highly recommend this place! Go here if you get a chance :) the staff is also great and knows us and our orders. We love, love, love this place! read more

Alright.. let me give you the low down on how we throw down. Homegirl gets a craving, same girl makes it happen. #Goals and such! My cravings are specific too, man. It had to be a torta, and chorizo better be involved somehow. I ended up with an adobada torta (pineapple pork torta) and a chorizo taco. Too much food of course but a good sample of things! The torta was pretty much perfection. Perfectly griddled crispy, plenty of meat and they didn't skimp on the fresh avocado, either! The chorizo taco had good flavor but was a little bit dry. My husband got a ginormous burrito with pork and beef mixed- as well as a chorizo taco. My salsa of choice was the still tangy verde, whereas he enjoyed the spicier red. Neither were overly hot.. just spiced and flavorful! Their horchata is not my favorite.. I prefer the kind which is overly cinnamon-y, almost like a liquid rice pudding. This one was a bit subdued and not very rice-y. If you'd rather have another drink they also have your common Mexican pops; Coca Cola, Jarritos, Sidral, Sangria, etc. Also.. tres leches cake.. just sayin. OH and they have "Japanese peanuts"!! The weirdest Mexican Japan fusion of snack foods.. I have only had them in Cozumel years ago.. So needless to say I'm excited to have found these for later tonight when Im still driving around midnight and I'm bound to get snacky. Or bored. Probably both. read more

Delicious and always amazing. Best Mexican food I have found around me! Highly recommend.

This is a hidden gem! My bf took me here for authentic Mexican food and it didn't disappoint! I had five tacos - adobada, pollo, asada, lengua, and pastor. My favorites were the pastor and adobada. They both were marinated in something red (not sure what it's called) but they were sooooo flavorful and they didn't even need much lime or any salsa. I also had a horchata and I saw that they had jamaica and a drink that looked like this piña colada drink that I've had at another Mexican restaurant and really, really liked. So needless to say, I'll definitely be back, and if you're looking for authentic Mexican food in the hilltop, please visit here!! read more
