This is a "higher end" boutique with lovely clothes. However, I had a terrible service experience. I was in the store for 30 minutes. I had stopped in while on a morning walk as I wanted to take a quick look at their formal dresses. I need to buy a dress for my son's wedding. I was dressed in my "walking clothes" and would not have tried anything on until going home, cleaning up, etc. Without going into lots of detail, I will say That I am 150% sure that the woman in the store did not ask if she could help me because I did not fit her view of someone who could afford their merchandise. I told her, as I was leaving, that I was upset that she did not ask if she could assist, etc., at which point she got highly defensive. She first said it was because I was "on my phone". I was on two calls for less than 10 minutes...while spending over 1/2 hour in the store. I mentioned that I looked through the selection of formal dresses 4 or 5 times, and she never asked if she could help. Her response "I had no idea what you were looking for". Imagine that! To be really clear, at no point were there more than three other people in this store. Most of the time, I was there with maybe one other person. AND, I was very aware that she asked each of the other customers if she could assist. When I left, I was the only one in the store. The only reason she looked up was because I opened the door to leave...and then stood there for a moment, as I decided that I was going to express how I felt about her behavior toward me. At no point did she try to apologize. She just got very defensive and continued her rude attitude toward me. I saw some very lovely dresses but will NOT be returning to try them on...and I can afford the store's merchandise...but will give my business to someone who appreciates it. read more
