We didn't get to the spa but the buffet was delicious and had a lot of variety. Our room had a spacious patio equipped with a table and chairs. It also had a small kitchen with a small fridge and microwave. What we liked were the dining table, dishes and utensils. There is also a sink and extra garbage and recycling bags. The coffee maker is a (wide pod) Nespresso. Two pods daily are included if you want additional pods they are 3$ each. We went to the grocery store and bought a box of pods it was much cheaper. The bathroom was big. It housed a big waterfall type shower and a jacuzzi tub. The toilet is in a separate space in the bathroom. It had a double sink. The water pressure was on point. The tv was big; at least 60" and has outlets for Apple TV or Fire Stick. Both sides of the bed had a big table which we appreciated because we both have CPAPs and we had a fireplace which gave the room added charm. We did try the steak restaurant but will not include it in this review because it was a disappointment.

When we rode in with our family after biking, the staff were not very welcoming and, in fact, made us feel like we were imposing on them. As very low maintenance travelers, we found it odd that this vibe was given off and we found it uncomfortable. Hard to exactly say what it was, but we found that we always felt that we were doing something wrong...not a fond feeling when traveling! The inn is about 1 km SE of the center of Val-David on Lac Dore, a small, quiet lake (no power boats). The inn has a private swim beach, dock, and platform. The inn is easily accessible from the rail trail, though not obvious. We arrived in the afternoon and were given rooms in an annex building across a quiet street. Our rooms had therapeutic baths, rather than showers, so we asked to be moved to rooms with showers, and they seemed happy to switch us. Since we were across the street, our rooms did not have a view of the lake, but the rooms were comfortable, air conditioned, and nicely furnished, if somewhat oddly arranged. The beds were very comfortable. We seemed to be the only occupants in the annex, and the doors of the unoccupied rooms were left standing open, so we walked around and looked into some of the rooms. Some of those bedrooms were truly luxurious! But those rooms had the therapeutic baths, not showers. The inn provided secure storage for our bikes in a separate building. It was a fairly hot day for Quebec, so we spent some time swimming in the lake before dinner. Just lovely. Kayaks and paddleboards were also available at the beach. Dinner was outstanding, and the service was excellent. The tables look out over the lake, a lovely setting. Apparently, breakfast is normally served starting at 9 am, but we asked if we could have breakfast at 8 am, to get an earlier start biking. Again, the staff seemed happy to accommodate us, and we were served breakfast at 8 am. Breakfast was also excellent. Definitely staying here again next time we are in the area. Note: All of the rooms at this inn are apparently different. The majority of the rooms seem to have therapeutic baths, not showers, so if you require a shower, make sure that you reserve a room that has a shower. At the other end of the room is a sitting area in front of large sliding glass doors that lead out to a patio over-looking the lake. A few steps below is the dock for lounging and swimming, plus a double kayak for your use. Everything about our stay was exceptional. I highly recommend this stunning place with the most charming hosts. How often can you say that you've stayed at the home of a great Canadian landscape artist? I guarantee you'll go home with your very own Gordon Harrison painting too - who can resist!

There is also lots of parking out front and it's free unlike at the hotels that are not that far away. Snacks are always available as well as tea and water. A continental breakfast is also offered with your stay. Hard boiled eggs, toast, pastries, yogurt and fruit were provided. As well as tea, coffee and hot cocoa. I'd recommend this stay to anyone in the Mont Tremblant area.

The front desk clerk was friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet during my stay. The AC and mini-fridge worked very well. The TV has limited channels, no in-room coffee maker, no breakfast available and limited outlets for your electronics. Free WiFi available. The shower amenities were limited to a shampoo, conditioner, body wash combo. Water pressure was average at best and it took forever to get warm - not hot, just warm. Should I return to bike the trail again, I would probably look to book a room closer to the trail and the restaurants.

Unfortunately Canada boarder had some issue with my Covid-19 test date so I couldn't make it across the boarder. With that said, I had to cancel the booking on the same day. I tried calling but it was after hours so I sent email instead. The hotel staff was very understanding and professional by responding back to me the next morning and helping with the cancellation and refund. They were very considerate and inviting me back when the situation becomes better. I will definitely book them if I go back there.
