We stopped into La Rollerie to get some breakfast after walking around Madrid. Even though they had just opened, it was pretty crowded. We waited a good minute before they were able to seat us. There is upstairs seating that you can see when you come in, but there is a whole downstairs section that has great additional seating for larger parties. They seemed a bit understaffed, but you could tell they were hustling. The Noric Brunch was my favorite. The eggs were perfectly poached, the hollandaise sauce is unique and the potatoes were really good. The Copenhagen is essentially the same without the Avocado tartar, potatoes and fruit/yogurt cup. The Noric full Brunch is pretty filling, so it's probably big enough to share. The Avocado Raw was also good. I was almost thrown off by the beets, but it wasn't too earthy. Coffee was delicious as well. Fun fact: They have an english version of the menu online in case you cannot read/speak Spanish.
For our last meal in Madrid, we needed a substantial breakfast to tie us over hours of travel. So glad we came to La Rollerie! The space is decorated to make you feel like you are sitting in a courtyard outside a quaint house having your meal. Very cute. We shared La Rollerie breakfast for two (16Eur) which came with two OJ, two hot drinks, two breads, emulsified tomato puree and four pastries. Plenty of food for two people and both sweet and savory choices! Also, our server was so cheerful and friendly, he really seemed to enjoy his work which made the experience even more enjoyable.
La Rollerie is a great place for breakfast and a snack and it has a wonderful menu for breakfast with incredible prices. The food was amazing with interesting flavorus and delicious egg benedicts! We tried the Copenhague and the Avocado raw. The copenhague was more traditional! the texture of the egg and the level. of cooking was just right, the temperature of the plate was also fantastic and tasteful. When it comes to the Avocado Raw, it was very fresh. If you like lighter dishes, I will go with the Avocado Raw because its less heavy and with the same amount of flavor. They do have pastries as well, we had the cinnabons dipped in flavors and they were all delicious. I loved each of them and i dont tend to be much of a sweet tooth. Should you want a delicious and affordable meal in the artistic district of downtown Madrid, look no further and visit La Rollerie! PS: Please dont forget to order the fresh orange juice, it tastes like itd just off the tree!!!!
Chain restaurant offering a pretty side variety of brunch/lunch options! Stopped in on a Sunday around noon and were seated immediately. The dishes were very pretty and Instagram worthy. My club sandwich was very yummy and the fries that came with it were perfectly cooked. The avocado toast was a bit lacking in flavor, although they give you SO MUCH avocado in Spain! Like literally a full avocado on a single serving! But still a bit flavorless. Prices are a tad higher than you'd see elsewhere but it's a chain and very trendy it seems so that's to be expected. Not a bad option for a meal!
Fantastic breakfast! We stayed at a hotel nearby and walked right in. Marko made some fantastic recommendations on juice- tea and breakfast. We enjoyed everything. The grilled eggs and pancakes are some do the best I've had. Marko was very attentive and everything came out extremely quickly.
I stopped in on a Monday afternoon for a cappuccino. They were fairly busy for a Monday! I was able to snag a comfy chair by the window. The servers were working hard and were nice even though it was busy! I had my cappuccino w soy milk. It came with cacao sprinkled on top. It was fairly big and totally worth 2.5€. The inside is cute and I didn't look too deeply into the menu, but the food I saw people order looked pretty decent.
As a business you should update when you are open and closed so idiots like me don't walk 25 minutes in the rain in order to be over closed
A nice spot for an early morning breakfast and a coffee. Made our way here before a tour at the Royal Palace. The coffee Americano was good, and the girls like their tea choices. We had a nice basket of fresh breads and a small fruit platter for sharing. Breads seemed fresh with a decent variety of styles to choose from. My daughters were served a dish a slightly spicy tomato sauce for dipping bread in...it was quite good! I had never had such a thing at a breakfast meal, but it really hit the spot and I would definitely order it again. My wife and I shared an order of eggs benedict; it was perfect for splitting with runny eggs atop ham and hollandaise sauce. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Would definitely return here if we were in need of another breakfast meal.
Service here was excellent and the coffee was really good. More touristy, but definitely worth popping in for a coffee or quick bite while you are near Plaza Mayor. There was only a minor hiccup with the orders, but nothing a little google translate couldn't help me with! Pop in and have a bite!
Best breakfast we had in Madrid. Reason? The coffee was bomb! Also had the cinnamon roll and Spanish omelette. E cinnamon roll was essentially a fluffy bread with Nutella. NoT like we have in the states but great if you like Nutella! Come for the coffee!!
My boyfriend and I went here for breakfast as it was recommended by our hotel and was a short walk away. Despite being quite busy, we got seated relatively quickly. I ordered the brunch Ibérico and he ordered the brunch Nórdico. At first, we were a bit surprised by the seemingly expensive prices (when compared to other breakfast places in the area). However, when considering that the brunch included coffee, orange juice, the main meal, and a sweet side, it seemed like a good deal! Overall an enjoyable experience and a great way to end our time in Madrid before catching the train.
This place is a lot bigger than we thought it would be!! I had the espanol, which consisted of scrambled eggs, jamon, green tea, strawberry juice, and a cheesecake for 14.50. I only ate about half the food since it wasn't that great. The strawberry juice was good, though!
After a day of walking around Madrid, we were looking for something close and quick. La Rollerie fit both needs. The best way I can describe the restaurant is like a fast-casual. You do order from a menu and it is table service. I had a chicken thigh crispy taco and what ended up being Sangria (described on the menu as Spanish Summer wine with lemon). Chicken taco was actually really good. I would not get the sangria again; it was just too sweet. We also ended up getting a french toast dessert. I would describe it as bread pudding. It was so good! I think we would have gotten another if it wasn't so decadent. It wasn't gourmet by any means, but the food was good and service was great. If you need an easy meal, La Rollerie has you covered. read more
I ended up here by chance one morning while on vacation in Madrid and I'm glad I did. The ambiance was casual and relaxed. Service and food were also both excellent! Our server was very friendly, provided detailed service, and was easy to communicate with. As for the food, the portions were a good size to share and I enjoyed their ham breakfast plate which also came with drinks and a dessert. A plus was the orange juice was fresh and coffee piping hot. I left with an exceptionally full and happy belly. Would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. read more
My first sit down breakfast in Madrid, and I was pleasantly surprised. Here are a few thoughts... --I had the American breakfast (4.5/5), with scrambled eggs (5/5), bacon (4/5), and pancakes (5/5). --Cafe has a pleasant interior (4/5). --Best service (5/5) we've had in Madrid! Fantastic breakfast! We stayed at a hotel nearby and walked right in. Marko made some fantastic recommendations on juice- tea and breakfast. We enjoyed everything. Service here was excellent and the coffee was really good. More touristy, but definitely worth popping in for a coffee or quick bite while you are near Plaza Mayor. This place is a lot bigger than we thought it would be!! I had the espanol, which consisted of scrambled eggs, jamon, green tea, strawberry juice, and a cheesecake for 14.50. I only ate about half the food since it wasn't that great. The strawberry juice was good, though! read more
I have to recommend this place! We went based on the reviews here and they were right. We had a fantastic pre-Christmasy breakfast. We ordered a few things. I specifically remember the Mexican eggs and the pita dips were really good. Don't hesitate! read more

Arrived in Madrid with two hours to kill. Luckily we found this spot close to our Airbnb and decided to get something small and relax for a bit. We the Madrid- churros w/chocolate, 2 cafe con leche and the Spanish- omelette with potato inside. Just your average coffee/casual breakfast place read more
This place was recommended by my daughter. She made a very bad 1st recommendation so we did not rush to trust this one. That was our mistake. La Rollerie was the tastiest food we ate en Espana. I had the Parmigiana (no meat). And it was lovely! My husbands chicken skewer with Asian flavors was extremely good. The sauce on the chicken and onion medley was intense! One kid ordered the soup and the other a very American chicken tender and spaghetti kids meal. She liked it. The portions were on point and the Chai tea was tasty though I would get it hot next time. There was a tad too much ice in it and mad it less appealing. For my taste at least. The service was good, location, great. I would return. read more

A great place to stop by for some yummy breakfast. The decor is quite unique, you have to see it for yourself and well the food is top notch. Their bread is also amazing! freshly made and all the ingredients seem top quality. Whether you are traveling alone or with friends, this place will not disppoint. read more

The best brunch ever in Madrid. I ordered the Healthy Brunch and it was really good, (scramble eggs, side of tomatoes and onions, toast with tahini on top, but the best part was the avocado toast!) if you are looking for a brunch place in Madrid La Rollerie is the best. read more

This place has a surprising amount of space - great for groups! We were placed downstairs in a group of 12. The food was all super delicious and exactly as expected. The staff seemed a little stressed on a Saturday morning and kept forgetting to bring over tea - other than that they were really kind and spoke decent English for anyone who didn't speak Spanish. I had the Avocado toast with cream cheese. It was really delicious! I'll definitely be back! read more

We've tried their brunches - English and French. French is really interesting - it includes crepe with pieces of brie cheese inside. English brekfast doesn't have blood sausage, but everything else is perfect. It's a trong 5 for the brunch if you got used to huge portions :) read more

take away service wasn't the most friendly on my second day in a row visit. It's close to my hotel and was convenient enough. Orange juice is good. Croissant is ok and cinnamon swirl is dry. Ok if you're on the go and need something quick. read more
