Very cool place, drinks are cheap. I loved the throwback music that was happening. A bit stinky tho lol.

The attention to detail is truly cristalizing. We couldnt help but stare and evrything for the first 15 minutes upon entering. Pointing and every pop culture reference we recognized (especially the Simpsons stuff). This is the type of place to return to over and over. Maybe next time we'll summon the courage to actually sing instead of taking the directive painted on the wall to seriously.

Discovered last year Cobra has now turned into an usual spot for a drink after hanging in Little Italy. I'm stubborn and continue to order Bloody Caesars although they recently have brought a major disappointment. The cocktail is consistent, but when I had it for the first time last year there was a beef jerky in it. This summer for whatever reason the jerky is gone from the cocktail, it is still supposed to be there according to the menu, but nowhere to be found in my drink. This is why a star is removed, sorry, I'm picky about the Caesars. Cobra is definitely kind of hip place to be looking at the crowd gathering there on Friday night. I really enjoy the 80s memorabilia, the movies shown on an old TV using VHS system, the list of drinks has been now transferred into a VHS boxes, funny, but difficult to read. The music choices have been always awesome. The service may be spotty. Even on an evening when sitting on the little patio and there were only few customers we had to wave persistently to get another drink or just the check. Drink wise Cobra delivers, they will surprise you with local beers that you would need to search hard for in Montreal as the the amazing Milkshake IPA of Jukebox or the old fashioned Laurentide of Molsson. Conclusion I would continue coming here, but please bring the jerky back in my Bloody Cobra if you want another star.

I left some of my homophobic friends in a bar on St. Laurent and adventure into the night. If you are single, like me, fed up of snobby clubs in Montreal, give this club a try. Admission was 6$, actually free if you compare it to other Montreal clubs. Staff is so friendly that you want to adopt them, drinks are beyond reasonable (paid 5$ for a gin-tonic and my friend had a 5.50$ local beer), with a good variety, huge dance floor and amazing sound. People going out there are grounded, mixed crowd, peaceful and very friendly. There is no particular dress code, I only assume that could be labeled as casual. Guess where I am going out to dance from now on?

My trip was going to be from 1st August to 13th August but there was a incident which happened on 4th August which made me traumatized and I returned back to Toronto. So, basically me and 2 indians friends and 1 one from other country were at CLUB UNITY on Friday the 4th of August. We were in the line and when we reached to the bouncer he asked me if I have a reservation. I said no so he snatched me outside the line and said I cannot go in and nither my friends. I was like okay no problem then can I make a reservation? He said no. But he did not ask other people in the line for reservations and he was removing àll South asian people from the line. I asked a guy and a girl (caucasian) in the line if they have one and they said no and they said we can go without a reservation (I saw them getting in without being asked for a reservation just their ID). As well as on the website there was nothing mentioned and even club unity's Instagram. I called the customer service and she said we don't let anyone without a reservation but I told her that other people are going and she said no we need a reservation and the customer service was not helpful too. I have videos too where you can see that the people were not asked for the reservation except for brown skin. I am so upset because Unity was the club were I first went after coming out as gay. Later I put a review on google and the person from Club unity said I did not had a ID but that was never a case because if he asked me for a different ID then I would have given him. I honestly want justice and not someone responding with a rude too.
