In wedding world that is practically tomorrow. Especially on Nantucket where travel an be difficult, and outside vendors aren't as easily swayed to get to the island. A summer or fall wedding would seem out of the picture with a 7 or 8 month lead, but thanks to Nantucket Island Events, I was able create the exact wedding that my Fiancé and I wanted and wouldn't have even dreamt about and I will say they absolutely delivered. I met Maureen while booking my venue as she is in charge of booking all events at The Galley. I had always dreamed of having for my big day there with a tent wedding since I was in my teens. After speaking with Maureen and Maggie regarding the venue, I knew I wanted to hire them as a full on wedding planning team. I had ever heard from friends that now live in Boston that Maggie and Maureen were, "the best of the best." Just knowing that they are able to communicate with my family and give them every piece of information that they would need to know was a huge weight off my shoulder. With the help of Nantucket Island Events, my Fiancé and I were able to have not only our perfect wedding, but it was beyond what I could have even imagined. Maggie really became more than a wedding planner to me, she became a friend and someone I trusted and went to in any situation leading up to the wedding. She really went to bat for me to try and get everything that she knew would make our special day that much better. I feel like I really owe Maggie's amazing managerial skills, without being too overbearing or overwhelming to making our wedding day the absolute best it could ever be. My entire family was blown away by how everything unfolded and our entire wedding party took a liking to Maggie and her "get stuff done in an elegant manner" ways. As sad as I was to have my wedding end, I knew that without Maggie and Maureen I would never be able to relive that day as magnificent and magical as it was. If anyone is looking for a wedding planner on Nantucket, I would recommend Nantucket Island Events without the slightest doubt in my mind. They truly are the best of the best.

Ms Cowherd was non commutative with them, didn't provide creative solutions, didn't offer realistic solutions to the unique difficulties of having a wedding on Nantucket. For example, the suggestions for the dinner the night before the wedding were ridiculously expensive. There was not a discussion or question of the budget. She has sent very few emails or suggestions to help them plan the wedding. The couple has decided to go another direction and not use Ms. Cowherd. There are many great wedding planners on Nantucket. Unfortunately, Ms Cowherd was not helpful for our bride and groom.

She then texted me extremely threatening texts almost 3 months after my event to remove my one star review or she will sue me. She would then block me and then unblock me and continue to send threatening messages. This woman wants to keep her shady business practice behind wraps. She also threatened me about someone else leaving her a bad review. Her google reviews are mainly all one star reviews. She is the worst thing to ever happen to me. I wish I contacted the other party planning business before I came into contact with this evil person. I have included screen shots of her harassment. I have informed the police department and will take all legal measures should she continue to threaten and harass me. Her number is listed to show you she is the evil person behind these texts. Oh and she kept my money and did no work for what I paid her for. Keep that in mind. Google her. There is nothing but bad things written about her all over the internet let alone her google reviews. Oh wow, where do I begin? VERONICA YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR!!! It's been exactly 1 month since our…read morewedding day at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, so this is long overdue! Being in the wedding industry myself, I am extremely picky about who to entrust on our big day. Having a wealth of contacts to plan our own wedding, we undoubtedly knew Veronica was THE ONE for us! From our first interview with her she was on point, meticulous and had a back up plan for our "back up plan". She listened to our needs and wedding vision, kept me motivated and on time with my checklists and truly "got it". From day one I conveyed to her that we were looking for a "bulldog" day of coordinator/Superwoman that could handle a large wedding party (11 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen), large family, out of towner guests and whatever drama might enfold. I wanted someone as detailed as I am, if not more but who truly cares and understands the entire process. We found all that in Veronica, and then some! Her attention to detail is above and beyond. She has her templates, checklists and timelines down to a science. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch (at least that I am aware of). That's what I call a GREAT day of coordinator. I was never concerned or bothered by things that came up because it was fixed before I even knew about it. She was there for us until the very end which was 1:00 AM and was so attentive and checked in on us often!! LOVE that! By the way, she's so much fun and had a blast singing/dancing along with her and our FAB DJ. Our family and friends fell in love with her as well, that I almost forgot she was my planner. :) In a good way that is. She was extremely professional but was so down to earth, she was like family. She's a friend for life!! I highly recommend her and her team. In conclusion: Do yourself a favor, stop looking and call Veronica for your big day!
