This scoop had lots of ice crystals, which made it noticeably less smooth and creamy than good ice cream should be. I was expecting a rich, velvety texture with a balanced bourbon and pecan flavor, but this scoop fell short of those expectations. I'm not sure whether the powerful bourbon flavor was specific to this batch or the texture related to storage, but the ice crystals really detracted from the experience. Overall, this flavor didn't meet my expectations for a gourmet ice cream shop. I would be willing to try another flavor, because like I've said before: any day with ice cream is a good day.

I believe their facebook page gives the most reliable source for hours, typically 11-9 through the summer. Staff is always super friendly, typically you'll just see Mrs. Rowlett making and serving ice cream while her brother is busy with the various cheeses and butter. Prices are sure to not break the bank and will certainly yield more than a few smiling faces indulging in such wonderful products. Craving more than a scoop or two?
