I have always loved the choices of stores, food court area, the special sales going at the mega department stores like Simons and Zara, and the various special events that take place here. Located on Laurier Boulevard, a major hotel and commercial artery, Place Ste-Foy is well known for its distinctive high-end and high-fashion offerings. In every store you walk in, the employees there were nice and helpful. There are so many stores selection and each one is unique. Depending on what you are looking for, I think price can be above average to high. Which is normal for a touristy destination. Loved the umbrella alley, the views of the river from the chateau, and the funiculaire! Make sure to bring cash that is less than $100 or 100CAD because they do not take that at the funiculaire.

CENTRALLY LOCATED DEPT STORE IN OLD QUEBEC…read more During our visit to Quebec City, we dropped by the Simons department store that is centrally located in Old Quebec on Cote de la Fabrique. It is near the Notre Dame Basilica de Quebec. Simons is a very small and quiet department store. Convenient for the tourist who forgot to pack something or now needs warmer clothing for the cold Quebec weather. We were surprised that Simons did not have a small giftware section where we might purchase a unique souvenir of our visit to Old Quebec that would not end up being a dusty tchotchke.

Customer Service told me if I could provide them with proof of shipping they would refund my money. I obtained everything required from the post office and they still would not refund my money. I opened a PayPal dispute, and Simons told me they would refund me immediately if I closed the dispute....I CLOSED THE DISPUTE AND THEY AGAIN REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY. I ordered two very expensive coats to be shipped to the US before Christmas. I called Canada Post and was told basically that I'm out of luck and the Seller needed to open an investigation. I was pretty much distraught at that point about the chances of my package arriving before Christmas. Simons went above and beyond, Audrey D. 1458, actually cared about my predicament and said she would call me back when I explained my problem. She not only called me back, but had already gotten tracking for two new coats and sent them express to the US. She also wrote me a nice email explaining the situation. At this busy time of year, I really appreciated someone going out of their way to help a customer. I've already had one friend purchase a coat from Simons and have another friend about to order one too. I can't say enough good things about this store going out of its way to fix a problem that neither of us caused. Thank you Audrey D!
