You won't find flashy, Instagram-style drinks here, but what you will get is a consistently excellent cup every time. They clearly care about the details from start to finish. They know how to make a legit breakfast burrito and they do it right. Very nicely made with a great ratio of eggs / guacamole/ tater tots/ salsa / etc. I personally opt to not do the black beans as I disagree with beans in a bfast burrito. Very importantly they grill press it lightly after it's wrapped - any place that doesn't do this to a burrito gets crossed off my list. On the side they give you Chipotle mayo, which is something I normally don't like, but I actually really enjoy theirs! And it's very reasonably priced. Happy I stumbled upon this place. read more

I came upon LA Prime Cafe as a happy accident. I was on my way to work, and I got a flat tire. I pulled into the parking lot which sits in front of this cafe. I called roadside assistance, but the wait was 1.5 hours. So I decided to step into this cafe while I wait. After checking out their menu, I decided to get a spicy chicken sandwich. The sandwich was tasty and indeed spicy, which is great as most places make their "spicy" dishes mild because "most people don't like very spicy food." The side salad complemented the sandwich well. It is so criminal that I have not written a review for this place yet, and was absolutely mortified when I realized this while I made my weekly brunch trip last weekend! This is my favorite breakfast burrito on the west side and some of the best coffee in the neighborhood. I come here all the time and Ruby even knows my order now! The staff is fantastic and the food is fresh and reasonably priced. I stick to a breakfast burrito with chicken sausage and an iced dulce latte, but my friends and family can vouch for the tuna sandwich, most of the salads, and the waffles! The parking lot is a bit tricky on busy weekends because it shares a lot with Zankou who is always doing valet, I always tell the guy I'm coming to Prime and he leaves me alone. This is located inside a small location with another restaurant Zankou Chicken (see my review:) I was expecting a stand alone regular restaurant, but this is set in the shopping complex and very small, but lots of seating and great menu which is why I still liked it. Valet parking again, but it's free so don't stress and you see your car the lot is so tiny. Thats why they do it to allow double stacking. Valet guy is very nice and professional. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a latte, both of which were delicious and arrived quickly. Came here during an afternoon in between meetings at work to grab some coffee with my team. Made the trek across Santa Monica Blvd to enter what seems like a nondescript coffee shop. The main reason for that was that it was almost time of closing. I got myself a vanilla cold brew and it was quite impressive. They do indeed take their time brewing the coffee and other drinks, so I'm quite impressed with that. They also do have some lemon water near the entrance you can quench your thirst with before grabbing your food and/or drinks. It's kind of by itself, so it's easy to skip as the location is a bit nondescript. I think I'll come back for breakfast the next time I'm in Los Angeles. read more

I recently ordered the waffle combo and the chicken pesto sandwich (which comes with a side salad), and overall I had a good experience with some highlights worth mentioning. The waffles were absolutely delicious -- soft, fluffy, and perfectly complemented by the chicken sausage and light, fluffy eggs. Everything in the waffle combo worked really well together, and I have nothing but great things to say about that dish. The chicken pesto sandwich, however, was a bit disappointing. While I can definitely see the potential in the flavor combination, the sandwich was quite salty -- even more noticeable since I had added an extra side of chicken. The chicken itself was unfortunately tough and a bit dry. I did order through Uber Eats, but I don't believe that was the cause of the saltiness or texture. On a positive note, the complimentary salad that came with the sandwich was wonderful. The dressing was perfectly balanced and really elevated the side -- it was honestly one of my favorite parts of the meal. Overall, there are some strong items on the menu, especially the waffle combo, and I truly see the potential in the sandwich with a few adjustments. I hope this feedback is helpful! read more

EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD HERE but even better than the food is the people who work there. I used to work in the same building and we always have new clients that would order from the cafe.
