I appreciate that they let me know when there are sales, what products they recommend and what they're best used for without overly pressuring me for purchasing anything. When I saw a free spray tan coupon, I was genuinely looking forward to trying it out. The experience started off great. I took a full tour of the salon, which was clean and impressive, and the associate was very kind and helpful at first. She was a little behind on cleaning beds, but I didn't mind waiting at all and was very patient. She explained different services, memberships, and products, but I clearly stated that this visit I did not want to purchase anything. I also explained that I don't live nearby and was only in town because my city is currently experiencing a severe ice storm and we have no power or water at home. After that, the interaction became uncomfortable. When I said I didn't want to buy anything, I was repeatedly asked "why," which put me in an awkward position of having to justify my decision multiple times. I simply didn't want to invest in memberships or products for a location I don't live near. I had already completed the required form that morning and came in specifically to use the spray tan coupon. After all the touring and discussions, when I presented the coupon, I was told it wasn't working and that it must be because I'm not local to Chattanooga. I explained that the fine print only states the coupon must be used within the same state, which I am, as I live in Tennessee, and that there is no mention of needing to reside in the same city. I asked if the coupon could be honored since this restriction wasn't disclosed, and I also politely asked if there was someone else she could check with. I was told the manager had already been asked, though I was standing at the counter the entire time and no calls were made. The request was immediately shut down. I left feeling disappointed, especially because I truly would have loved to try the spray tanning service and likely would have returned to purchase additional spray tans when visiting family in the Chattanooga area. The salon itself is very nice, but I hope future guests, especially visitors, are met with clearer communication and less pressure.

A gym should be a place of health and wellbeing, not an adversarial, contentious, and threatening environment. Even if you fulfill the terms of your contract the gym will attempt to bill you for services they do not provide. A classic example predatorial, unethical, abusive, and deceptive billing practice. Then, if you do not pay, they threaten to send your account to collection. I am in the process of filing complaints with the Tennessee Better Business Bureau, Tennessee division of Consumer Affairs, and the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. I am leaving reviews on Google, Yelp, Nextdoor, and other social media apps to warn others of the danger of joining Workout Anytime. I have canceled my membership and will not accept the unfair and shady business practice that this gym has become notorious for. I strongly advise anyone considering joining this gym to consider alternative locations!

I moved away in 2024 and canceled my gym membership at the north shore location thinking that was all I needed to do with cancelation confirmation and everything. the company said that I had 2 memberships under the same name at different locations and that I only canceled one refusing to refund a years worth of club fees. It is Unfortunate that in a situation like this where their own gyms don't communicate correctly they wouldn't do the responsible thing and return money that was not theirs to begin with or on a membership that wasn't even being utilized by a loyal member that moved. Update: I spoke with the regional manager and emailed the company and they still refuse to refund me my 400$s!
