The medieval chimney!
Adrienne B.

All kinds of awesome! Great Beer, great prices, great crowd. You can chat with friends near the bar or party it up in the back with the DJ. Very authentic bar with mostly locals. There is also a smoking room with a medieval chimney if you're into cigarettes, if you're not into second hand smoking it's worth holding your breath to take a peek. *There are coat hooks under the bar and all around on the brick walls :)

Good local beer selection.

Great beer selection (bottle and tap) and live music. Small, so get there early if you want a spot; long picnic table type communal seating. Also has a smoking room for the cold months, if that's your thing. Liked the cellar-style underground location and dim lighting. Cool vibe for sure.

This has to be one of the cutest bars I've ever come across and the interior is unlike no other. The maximum seating inside is probably about 20 folks but they have a few tables outside for you to enjoy a few drinks. What stood out to me was discovering Plumette is also owned by the folks behind the coffee shop next door, Lazy Bear. The mixture of velvet, dark woods, dried flowers, and hues of glamour had me in awe. With a corner bar fully prepped to make some of the best cocktails you've ever had are just a mere order away. Plumette offered some of the best drinks I've ever had. If you're looking for a signature cocktail they proudly serve a drink called The Plantation. A few ingredients within the cocktail were amber rum, marula, lime juice, pineapple juice emulsion, peruvian bittern, and free coffee seeds. We ended up here for two rounds of cocktails and it was a lovely experience.

Very pub-feel bar and not as much in the classic European pub sense as you might like, but still…read moredecent food and good Belgian beer selection. Came here with a colleague for dinner. I was a bit surprised that it seemed like a pizza pub, which is just strange in Brussels. Still, I got the porc filet on the waiter's recommendation and it was really, really good. Tenter and a bit crispy on the outside, but juicy and not at all gristly. My colleague got the entrecôte, which wasn't quite as good and a bit too fatty, but still not bad. The Belgian beer selection wasn't super-broad, but didn't disappoint and we certainly enjoyed it. More so because we could split beers. We got a Chimay Blue in a bottle, Westmalle dubbel and tripel on tap and a few other things. Beyond the food being a bit odd (I would have expected mussels and frites), the only downside was that the outdoor table was surrounded by smokers. Something I'd mostly forgotten was a thing.
