Orejas. Perfectly sweet and crisp.

A must if you are in the St. Mary's area. Had a hard time choosing but trust me when I say any decision is a good one hear and a great value for the money. I just need a little cafecito.

La Popular bakery dots the san antonio landscape and consistently provides delicious sugary bready goodness. Low carb diets need not enter as colorful, sugar topped goodies are in full display for you to enjoy. I've been frequenting La Popular for years and have thoroughly enjoyed most of the goodies (I'm not a big fan of mexican sugar cookies besides hojarascas and wedding cookies) plus their flour tortillas are some of the best around! They're fairly priced but can add up quickly as you fill up bags of pan dulce.

I really want to like la popular bakery, however the quality and freshness isn't as good as a grocery store or donut shop. This la popular bakery is better than the Marbach rd location (zero stars). This location had the cute little cakes. It's a yellow cake with a custard or strawberry filling. We purchased an assortment of powder and coconut on the sides with custard and jelly. They look very nice. The yellow cake is not moist or satisfying. The jelly is okay. The custard was okay. I wanted more jelly and custard than the cake since the cake was dry. The eclair was much better than the other la popular, it at least had filling. The slice with jelly filling was like the lamest pie slice you will ever taste. Shipley is more satisfying. La popular is disappointing.

I had a pleasant experience. The staff was nice the lobby was clean. They have a bench if you need to wait. The sweet bread was fresh and was very good. It's convenient to go pick up your sweets and keep going with your day. I had them put in the box i don't like it in a bag that's just me lol The prices are good not too expensive.

Pleasant and fast service with a smile. Traditional flavors and authentic designs and decoration. True panaderia. Cinnamon sugar apple turnover was especially good. Some churros are filled just FYI. Wholesale and affordable pricing.

Sweet bread and service was great but ambiance was a little dirty. Or somehow getting rid of all the flies would feel less dirty.

Their product is always fresh! I am a professional baker and cake decorator, but when I just don't have time... they are my go to bakery!

I would have to say this is one of my favorite sweet shops. This place has thee best sweet bread you could get. Plus it's always fresh.

They are beautiful and everything we've tried was fantastic. They have some I think maybe gelato there as well. Seating indoors and outdoors. I forgot the exact flavors I got, but I remember trying pistachio, Dubai chocolate, and one other flavor. They were all really good. Since I was hungry, I also grabbed a chocolate croissant, which was delicious as well. I forgot to ask them to heat it up, but it was still very enjoyable. On the side, I tried their ice cream, and it was honestly some of the best ice cream I've had in San Antonio. I believe I got pistachio, taro, and coffee on the bottom, and they were all great. At the end, I also got Turkish coffee just out of curiosity. It's not in the picture because I purchased it after I finished my dessert. The coffee was very strong, with a unique flavor that made it fun to try. One small suggestion: the coffee was very very hot and nearly overflowed the small cup, so it might be helpful to add a "cup sleeve", use a slightly bigger cup, or offer an option to make it a bit cooler (adding an ice or two). Overall, this is definitely a cool place to hang out, especially if you enjoy sweets, coffee, and trying different flavors. Highly recommended and will be back for more!

I stopped by 85°C Bakery right at opening to pick up treats for work and was honestly disappointed…read morewith the experience. There were very limited fresh selections available, and many items were still being baked during opening hours. In my opinion, a bakery should open with the shelves fully stocked and ready for customers, especially those of us stopping in early. The prices are reasonable, ranging from about $2.50-$4.00 for both sweet and savory pastries, but price doesn't make up for the lack of availability. I expected to have more options to choose from instead of empty or partially filled displays. For consistency in early morning breakfast items, I could have easily gone to Krispy Kreme, where you know exactly what you're getting when the doors open. That said, 85°C is convenient and their mango smoothies are great. Overall, it's a decent spot, but I wouldn't recommend going first thing in the morning if you're expecting a full pastry selection.
