This review is solely based on the churro experience. I was in this store looking for chicharone but they didn't have what I needed. I happened to walk past the pan dulce so I figured to get my kids some. I saw the churro and I got excited. I paid for my pan dulce and left. I literally ran to my truck so I can dive into the churro. First bite and I was like GROSS! This has to be the worst churro ever made. It tasted as if it had sat in the pan dulce case for days. I'm not joking. The inside you can see the dryness. Almost a white flaky inside. I have had 100% better churros from Costco and I don't even like Costco churros. It was so disgusting that I tossed it immediately. Perla should be ashamed. Ashamed for putting out gross churros. I should have taken it back but I didn't want to deal with the hassle. read more

The worst Menudo I have ever had. It Had a terrible smell and taste. I threw it out. Don't buy it or please get a different cook.

I would rather come to this perla vs the others to avoid the long lines and people. This one I believe is the smallest but not least. Actually I believe it's the same gals here since I started coming here 5 years ago. They have really good customer service. This is a great place to go, the carnitas and tamales are wonderful. I love their Caldo De Res, fresh made tortillas, rice, beans, yet to have a meal less than I expect it to be. The Chicken Mole was absolutely wonderful as well. read more

This can be such a great store but it lacks quality food and better customer service from all employees. I have been disappointed several times when going to buy bread, which should be fresh every morning but sometimes the truck doesn't deliver the bread until the afternoon, which may not be the store's fault but management should put a stop to that. I went there on Monday to buy small cucumbers and when I cut them up almost all of them were bad. A lot of the food is old and getting spoiled. Two weeks ago they had a deal going on for tacos where it cost $2 for 3 tacos. They charged me extra for the cheese which was $.53 for 4 tacos. I ordered 6 tacos. It was a total rip off. read more

A good place for a quick lunch. It's hard to go wrong with their burritos. Try the chile relleno burrito. Too bomb, imo. They have produce, not the best but they have it. Full service butcher shop it great if your trying to buy a hispanic cut of meat. I cant vouch for their knowledge or quality on American style cuts. The beer selection is limited, even with hispanic brands. It's a small place. Their deli is a winner though. read more

Great food but I feel really out of place when I visit. Every time I come in I'm excited because of the food but the ladies that work there won't look me in the eye or talk to me at all. They speak to others around me and when I give my order I feel like I'm talking to the soda machine. Very unwelcoming but if you get past that the burritos are amazing. read more

They dont even deserve the one star i had to put! This is the worst restaurant ever!!! They are rude and refuse to admit they are wrong! I sent my 14 year old son in for a chicken quesadilla since I was at a salon getting my hair done. When my son came back I ate a piece and realized there was no chicken. So I took another peice and pulled it apart. Still no chicken. So I asked my son to go back qnd let them know I asked for a chicken quesadilla, after I asked him and his friend if they for sure said chicken quesadilla, they both said yes. Then my son calls and says they say they dont have chicken. So I asked him to put them on the phone. I was talking to Beatrice. She said they were out of chicken. I asked why they didnt say have the decency to tell my son that when he placed an order instead of just giving him something he didnt ask for. I asked for my money back. I hear her talking in spanish to another lady screaming in the background. Literally screaming!!! Her name was Petra if that is even her real name ( they refused to tell me until I demanded names.) Then Betrice tells me that I cant get my money back because I ate some of it. I told her thats how I found out the order was wrong!! Petra is still screaming in the background then beatrice tells me if I want meat I must pay extra! Pay extra on an order they messed up?!! I told them they were wrong and that thier customer service was rude and they definitely tried to force me into something I didnt want. I couldnt even finish because Petra is still screaming in the background, so I hung up. Apparently a man gives my son my old qursadilla and tells him to tell me they dont need customers like me!! This place is rude, obnoxious and has no respect. Save your money go somewhere else with quality food AND service. By the way there were witnesses in the salon and heard everything, guess who lost customers. They should be out of business!!! read more
