I headed down here one evening as I was craving seafood. It's located on a canal, and you can…read moreeither sit inside or outside on a barge. I chose to sit inside, as I was by myself.
I walked around first to check the place out, a very cool interior, and several places to eat. I didn't realize it at first, but there is more than one restaurant. I went to the front host stand and told the host that it was one for dinner. He greeted me, gave me a menu, and then we walked to one of the seafood bars and I sat down. The name was Ekmans
Almost immediately, the man behind the bar came to me and asked me for my drink order. We discussed the different beers available, I settled on a local draft and then perused the menu.
As I walked in, I spied another diner having a seafood platter, which looked great. I asked my server about it, and he highly recommended it, so I ordered it.
He brought me a tasty cold beer, and shortly thereafter, my seafood platter arrived, and it was perfect- a bunch of tasty small shrimp, mussels, salad, crackers, aged cheese, and 3 huge Langoustines! It was delicious, I had a second beer and enjoed my meal and conversation with the barman very much.
There are several restaurants here, as well as a seafood market during the day.
I would definitely come back here on my next visit- highly recommended!
