I approached in the evening around 7ish and it began to rain. I walk in the place is orange with tables for eating and there were 2 guys on the right seated awaiting meals. And so I go all the way in to the register and request a menu. The two women both had this why are you in here look. Umm bc I want some pupusa duh. Anyway I scour the menu and remember I that it's Friday and I'm fasting for lent so I ordered some fried fish and whatever that came with which was rice and salad and of course the pupusa. Less than 5 minutes later 2 more couples came in and ordered and left. Why they both left with their orders before me?? I meant like 23, 25, 28 minutes later I had this perplexed look like an I next? I found the wait to be crazy and the food to be overpriced and like by would you sell me a whole tilapia fried with bones and all. That absolutely threw me off. And no I didn't equate it to a language barrier bc guess what I speak Spanish but they spoke to me in English so I stuck with English. Idk I just wasn't feeling the love. But when I want another pupusa and I'm in the area I'll probably return. The place was clean and there is parking right out front. I would recommend and I will try again and hope for a warmer reception. Like the fact that they were looking at me like what are you doing here was super annoying please don't do that. Anyway the food outside from the bones in the fish was so freaking good but not $28 worth of good and I tried to make my own pupusas in the house and I definitely am not good at it. Deep sigh maybe the pupusa that's that long to make who knows.

And It was 40 mins before I got my food. The second time I decided to sit down. Again, the waitress acted like I was bothering her. 15 mins before she took my order. Never checked on me again. I was finished for 20 mins before I got my check. I should've just walked out. And let's discuss the food. I ordered nachos. NEVER in my life have I seen breaded and fried chicken with American cheese slices on my nachos. It was disgusting. Didn't even look appetizing.

I love when I find a place that's reasonably priced and delicious. Hidden amongst a neighborhood…read morefull of mainly Korean restaurants, this El Salvadoran restaurant was a true joy to find and try out. They offer a lunch special for $13 but we all opted for the 3 taco set that comes in either beef or chicken that comes with rice and beans. The taco shell was a hard shell and tasted so fresh and crunchy like it was homemade. The meat was juicy and delicious and it was dripping it was so good. The tacos were generously topped with lettuce and slice of avocado. The beans seem like they were blended and very tasty. The only downside was the language barrier. We orders 3 beef tacos and 1 chicken taco and they mistakenly brought out 2 chicken and 2 beef. It was a little difficult rectifying the order. We finally decided to bring the chicken order and order another beef set but it took a while for them to understand us. I think it was just a mistake on the kitchen part since when the receipt came, the order was actually for 3 beef and 1 chicken. All food at the end. We also didn't know what pupusas are so had to try it. Omg! We picked the one filled with chicharonnes and cheese. It was $3. Came with a side of coleslaw and dipping sauce. Soooooo good! The decor is very low key- little but old school. It's definitely a laid back atmosphere.

Today, I had a very strong craving for pupusas today and even convinced my puerto rican husband to order some with me. HUGE MISTAKE. As I was taking a bite out of my mixed pupusa, i noticed a large black something inside. I picked it out with my fingers because i thought it could have been a frijol and it was a huge fly!!! I am sooo disgusted. Never in my life have I experienced something like this. I was just about to give my kid a bite as well. I will be reporting this restaurant to the health department.
