Driving through Jacksonville we found ourselves needing a person refuel before continuing home. We…read morecame across Lilianas and decided to give it a try. We were greeted quickly upon arriving into Liliana's Colombian Restaurant and Bakery by an older gentleman, you could tell he has pride in this restaurant the way he spoke and helped with everything. The food, we order tostones for an appetizer. They were crispy, light, and simple. Could've used a bit of salt personally but the garlic sauce they came with really made up for it. So good! The steak had a ton of flavor, and the yellow rice was solid, though my family actually liked the white rice better overall. We ordered a mix of plates with yellow rice and fries, others with white rice and tostones. I went with the arroz con pollo (classic choice), and my youngest had the chicken nuggets and fries. Only downside: my meal came out about 10 minutes after everyone else's, which was a little frustrating but not warrant for complaints. Our waiter was really sweet, a tad slow checking in sometimes, but he was super accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. He even got honey on the side for my kiddos nuggets. Odd request but it's a thing. A big surprise but we got a free choice of a pastry at the end, which was really nice. My kids picked flan and said it was light, firm, but still creamy. Not too mushy. In the end the vibe is very family friendly. They play Latin music in the background, but it's quiet and chill, easy to drown out and still enjoy. I would love to see this place flourish, I know they deserve it, there's a lot of love put into this place. If we're ever in town again, we'll be back.

I struggled with pronunciation, but she patiently walked us thru. The food was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was clean, pleasant and comfortable. Gosh I really wanted to love this place. I'm genuinely happy to see the cuisine they're bringing to…read morethe community, along with the events they're hosting and the sense of togetherness they're fostering in the area. The standalone building is nice, the location is convenient (albeit hidden), and there's plenty of parking spots. Inside and outside, there's lots of space, including a lovely outdoor deck and large dining area. The atmosphere is beautiful (Instagrammable! ) and spacious, and I could see this being a great spot for an intimate date or a larger group. There's also a great variety of food and drink options. That said, the food was pretty mid for me. The beef empanadas with the three sauces were delicious & definitely something I would order again. Unfortunately, the mofongo with skirt steak was a major disappointment. The mofongo/trifongo itself was good, but the skirt steak was overcooked, extremely rubbery, and lacked any real sauce or marinade. It honestly tasted almost microwaved. I couldn't even bring myself to take the leftovers home for my dog. What made that even more disappointing was the price. Two entrées and one $8 order of beef empanadas came out to almost $90, and we were only drinking water. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and provided good service, so I don't fault her at all. But paying nearly $90 for a meal where I barely ate the vegetables or protein left me feeling like I paid $90 for water and smashed plantains. I don't normally leave a less-than-stellar review after just one visit, especially when I really want to support a local business. However, I've also heard similar experiences from other people I know, where something about their meal was off-putting for one reason or another. I'll definitely come back for drinks, appetizers, the outdoor space, and community events, because I really do want to support what they're building here in Greenville. I just probably won't be ordering an entrée again unless I hear that the food has improved. But There's a lot to like about this place & I hope others give it an honest chance. ! I just wish the food had matched the atmosphere and the vision for me.
