Great food and great service. I am from Florida and stopped here on our road trip. I was not disappointed at all. The drinks were made with fresh juices (no sour mix). Food was fresh and just enough. I would come back here anytime

Our first visit to La Paloma was fantastic. Great service and Margaritas. The food was beautifully plated and had tons of flavor. Huge bar with fun environment. This will be a favorite spot!

Walking through the door, you feel a warmth from the servers and the atmosphere. People were friendly and servers were available many times during our dining experience. The food, chips, and salsa were good with a great platter presentation.

La Paloma has only been open for a little more than two weeks, but I have been there five times. Mountain Home's newest Mexican restaurant is by far my favorite with a large, unique menu like no other. Like most places, you're started with a little pitcher and bowl of salsa and basket of chips. The salsa is so good, be careful not to fill up on it. The tomatoes are chunky and fresh, with chunks of onion and lots of cilantro for a real earthy, herby flavor. I love it. The combo meals are a good way to try a few things at once and all the items come with ground beef. I like the burritos and tacos and while I'm not usually a fan of red enchilada sauce, La Paloma's is great. Chimichanga? Great also with shredded beef, side salad and rice and beans. While rice and beans are usually a bland side at other Mexican restaurants, La Paloma cooks their rice in broth so it's moist and flavorful. The beans don't look attractive, but they are flavorful and I always clean my plate. They have a lot of seafood dishes I'm looking forward to trying, along with a couple of lamb dishes. The decor is nice and cozy and the music is a combination of American and contemporary Spanish which is a nice change. The bar is fully stocked and offers numerous craft cocktails. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Do yourself a favor and go ASAP.

Excellent food and drinks! We got the The chicken and spinach enchiladas and fresh guacamole. The famous tacos Al pastor were also delicious.

    Carne Asada

Ordered the Choriqueso, Mt. Home margarita, and Carne Asada. The choriqueso dip was delicious! The salsa was very good and the in-house chips were thick and fluffy. The carne asada was very good and cooked perfectly. Atmosphere is very nice and the staff are very friendly; especially attentive when anything was running low. Really enjoyed the meal and drinks with friends. Next time I'm in town I will absolutely come again! I hope this place becomes a local favorite soon!

The salsa and chips and food was great. The queso had great flavor but not thick like we are used too.

Great dinner! Possible the best beef chimichanga I've ever had. The tapatio burrito and enchiladas supreme were also great!

El Charro Mexican Restaurant - Chicken fajita taco salad

Our dinners there have always been great! Service is good too…read more Certainly a traditional Mexican food restaurant. Unlike a busier establishment not too far away called, Salsas Grill, that is 100% Gringo Mexi-Southern food with added sugar and gravy which we did not like. Salsa's gives huge quantity, but I'd rather have quality that is more authentic Mexican cuisine like at El Charro, and I never leave hungry from El Charro anyways! We do ask for El Charro's spicy salsa so that we can blend it in with their standard salsa. My son usually asks for their chili verde in some form like nacho, enchilada, or burrito, and I like it very much too. I usually try to order their special plate with their Mexican braised beef and a Mexican cheese blend, but I can get in a soft taco platter as well. Their stewed or braised beef and pork items are excellent, you can't go wrong for tenderness and flavor. Warning: I've not ordered anything with chicken, so order that at your own risk. I appreciate good Mexican restaurants like El Charro, and I've eaten at a lot of excellent Mexican food places having lived over 3 decades in Phoenix, AZ and over 3 decades in California (Lompoc, Santa Barbara, Ventura and Oxnard). I spent about a year in Kansas City, Kansas on corporate expenses so I ate out all the time. I tried almost every BBQ joint there and in Martin City. Some really good and some really bad BBQ, but I've always been a foodie and home cook since I was a child.

Could not have been better. We were immediately greeted with a smile and seated. Our server made us…read morefeel welcome and gave us plenty of time to order. The food is always excellent. The El Charro chicken and chicken fajita taco salad were delicious. The place is always well lit and very clean. Looking forward to our next trip there.
