the food was amazingly creative and wonderful to the taste buds, but the wait for the food was…read morepainfully slow. six years ago, when i was living here i really liked this place and their market across the street. i was happy to see that they were still around. we had le dakar - really tasty fish and veggies - and le casamance - stewed of chicken - the sauce was good even if you are not a fan of olives. the rose was good. i am giving five stars for the great food, huge portions, and cheap, but i am taking back two for the long long long wait. we came for a late lunch and they weren't busy, but we waited nearly an hour for our food. i will definitely eat here again as long as i have plenty of time to spare.

The service was efficient, and we were seated in the back patio on a hot summer's day. While it was warm, the area was nicely shaded, making it perfectly pleasant. The tartes are incredible! I especially loved the chicken and potato--it was so flavorful and comforting. I really need to figure out how to recreate this at home! :) I suspect it's a unique creation of this restaurant, rather than a dish you can find just anywhere. And, of course, my iced jus de pêche was the perfect refreshment for a hot day. I'll never forget this meal--thank you for such an amazing experience!

La salle a l'intérieur est vraiment tres "cozy", mais je trouve qu'elle est un peu petite. Si elle est complete il faut donc attendre qu'elle se vide avant de manger (dommage). Mais bon!
