The 2 Michelin Stars are clearly well deserved. The entire experience was exceptional- from the care and attention of the staff to the, including the Chef personally speaking with each table of his mission, to the unparalleled quality and presentation of the food.
From the moment you step off the elevator you are greeted by a sharply dressed and approachable greeter that will show you to your table. As we approached our table on the terrace we were welcomed by half a dozen greetings and warm smiles from the staff.
We had a beautiful table overlooking the ocean with a stunning view of the sunset.
The restaurant manager introduced himself as well as a number of other staff.
We began our journey with a glass of champagne as a server explained the flow and intentions of the miniature (pre fixe style) set menus known as "Movements." Another gentleman brought by a letter from the chef and his wife, to explain the vision we would be enjoying.
We were given a cute display of amuse's created by the chef and his wife. With the assistance of the sommelier we chose a nice local red and ordered the lamb and beef movements.
The meal was stunning. Carefully executed with flavors that danced beautifully across your tongue. Bravo!
Our meal ran long (as we should have expected) and we needed to hurry to our reservation on Hotel's Zplage pier to watch the fireworks. We asked for dessert to be rushed, we didn't want to miss any of either the meal or the fireworks show!
Amazingly, the manager offered to have the desserts delivered to us at our seats on the pier. We enjoyed a beautiful show to cap an amazing meal.
