Party of 6 here! We came in last night (Saturday) and they greeted us right as we walked in, they sat us right away all with a smile. - great greeting. Our server was great! Our server was prompt and so friendly. Even joked around with us as we were kind of a social table. Our drinks came out right away Our food came out right away, hot and delicious! We are all from out of town, here for a rodeo so with that service, atmosphere and good food, we will be back again. read more

I think that an employee stole my credit card number. I was visiting town for three days to do some business. My last night I ate here. I thought it strange when the server/owner/manager sat down to ask me about my work while someone was processing my bill. When I got home I logged my receipts and discovered my credit card was charged for over $1000 at another business at almost the same time my card was run for my meal. I did some research and there seemed to be a connection between the restaurant and the business that made the fraudulent charge. I hope that this is not what happened but I will not return for a meal the next time that I am in town. read more

Great spot every time. Their shredded beef and chicken are both amazing--full of flavor and consistently good. The service is always great, whether dining in or picking up to-go. Their cocktails are also excellent, and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. I've eaten in and ordered takeout multiple times, and it's been a great experience every time. read more

I think the place is amazing, the food is spectacular and the attention is the same. Thanks Vanessa!

Delicious food. I liked the chicken flautas. The portions were perfect for a filling dinner. Take out containers that keeps food warm.

My husband is in Hermiston for work and decided to eat here and ordered shrimp cocktail which came in the form of a soup. Were from Texas and shrimp cocktail is NOT hot it's cold. My husband sent the food back because it's not what he wanted, again shrimp cocktail is cold not hot. He proceeded to order something else and at the end of the meal they included the cocktail he did not eat on the ticket. When he complained they said there is nothing wrong with the food and will not take it off the ticket. They were rude and inconsiderate. $21 wasted. Do not recommend read more

Living in Phoenix you would think I would be surrounded by great Mexican food, but sadly it's really hard to come by. This was a wonderful experience, with fantastic service, a nice location and really good tasting food. I think it's just the quality produce that is grown around here. It just takes meals to a higher level. read more

Fast service. Good food. Environment was good. Waitress was nice. Overall it was a 5 stars!

Visited La Palma for dinner last night and will certainly be back. It is far from the best Mexican food I've had but it is well rounded and may be the best sit down spot for mexican food in Hermiston. The mole enchiladas were uniquely good in flavor but the sauce wasn't as thick as I'm used to. The flautas were crispy, the chicken wasn't dry and the guacamole was fresh tasting and complemented them well. The best part was that with such excessive inflation on most prices, La Palma has stayed around $10-$12 for these dishes. My one real complaint is that the rice was disappointing with solid flavor but some dry or undercooked grains that threw off the whole dish when I encountered them. My impression was that it was not freshly made and probably reheated and old rice. My experience was teetering between 3 and 4 stars but with better rice that could have been pushing 5 stars. read more

Stale Chips Great start to dinner. Main course on plate was ok tortillas were not homemade and it said homemade. Beans tasted like tin can. Rice was dry and hard. Customer service was good but not amazing. Not busy at all and never checked to see if we needed refills. I had a empty glass for the rest of my meal. Maybe next time it will be better. read more

The service was terrible. There were only five other tables, yet it took an hour to get the food we ordered. After bringing the food to our table, they never came back until we asked for our check. Very poor service. The service and food has gone downhill. I've been coming here for six years and this is the second time in six months that the service has been poor. From now on I'll go to Ixtapa. read more

Air conditioned, new, quick seating. Totally mediocre. Salsa maybe out of a jar. Chips, cheapest, held under a warmer. Shredded beef in enchilada was gray, not fresh. To be cool was nice. Woman's bathroom smells of mold. Very intense odor. Go to a taco truck. It will be better. read more

Maybe I was just hungry, doing the Keto diet, but the Carne Asada here was amazing. I had them hold the rice and beans and instead they gave me salad with a side of ranch dressing. No charge for the substitution. The steak was seasoned and cooked beautifully. Perfect Keto meal. Best food I've had in Hermiston. The servers were all pleasant and the restaurant has an up to date, comfortable and spacious feel. Really deep menu. I was surprised and impressed by all the seafood offerings. read more

La Palma Mexican Restaurant - the seating area - Mexican Near Me - Hermiston, Oregon

I left an amazing review for this restaurant 10 years ago. I am changing my review. The service has consistently gone downhill, you aren't checked on, and no one even smiles in this place lol now the prices are ridiculous and you have to pay for extra bowls of chips and salsa beyond the first now. I've never heard of that in a Mexican restaurant ever! I know times are hard but wow. The restaurant is nice though, I'll give them that. We have begun going to a different restaurant in town because of these changes the last 7 years or so. It was a loss we've had to mourn as we loved La Palma! read more

This was a good find! The food was really good, along with the salsa. Great service. We will definitely come back. The restaurant had a good feel! Welcoming! read more

Walked in at 4:30 and it wasn't busy but took almost 20 minutes before anyone even came by. Then they brought chip and salsa but no water. After we finally were able to order it took 15 minutes for mine to come out but my husband's took another 5 minutes. Food was so so. Seems to be a theme as last time it took forever also. Think we will try some place else next time. read more

Great local Mexican restaurant with a traditional Mexican decor. I ordered the chicken en mole which is sweet and spicy. The rice and beans were delicious and full of flavor. read more

Went last night for dinner with a large group of 9 and was able to be seated right away even though it was busy. The food came quickly and service was outstanding. This place is absolutely horrible. Took forever just to get water. Chips and salsa were trash. Chicken was dry and un seasoned, rice was meh. Beans were meh. waitresses were rude and kept mean mugging. Didn't check up once. Only one young man did which I appreciate you sir. Save your money and go elsewhere read more

Great food and mixed drinks!!!! Staff is great and friendly... Very busy restaurant. Will take reservations for big groups!!

Love the quality and amount of delish food you receive from them. A complete experience and well worth the money.

This restaurant has amazing food!! I would love to eat here everyday! You cooks are amazing!!!

Had to ask for napkins and silverware.hostess too busy talking to notice we needed to be seated.gave the absolute tiniest teaspoon of guacamole to go with a large portion of fajitas for 2.then I got charged for asking for more that should've been there to begin with.I was told those are just the rules.the waitress was polite but didn't really wait on us or attend to us much at all.she could've been more attentive.today rice was crispy.shrimp was precooked and cooked again.had a rubbery texture. read more

Great place to eat Mexican food , Great customer service & sure would be great when we can eat indoors instead

I eat out with my 12-year-old daughter and she write the review. The general atmosphere is your classic Mexican style (lots of tera cotta, oranges and various vermillion tones) it was very busy when we got there (around 1:30) but was only a few minutes before we were seated. I ordered the rolled tacos (or to taqutios) with shredded beef. They were quite good, just the right amount of soft and crunchy, but were a little bland. I don't like the extra stuff touching my tacos and they brought it out right. My friend had tortilla soup and he said it was good. The Waite staff was nice and professional. read more

We're from out of town and so glad L Palma was recommended. I had the BEST chili rellenos I've had in years! Exactly the way they should be made. Combined with their perfect Margarita, it was a great meal. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. read more

This place was recommended to me as a great Mexican restaurant but it was terrible. The food was bland and sub par, far from authentic Mexican food. Service was even worse. Would not recommend. read more

Hands down my favorite restaurant in town. Customer service is outstanding, food is mind-blowing, and I can't even say enough good things about the remodel. A beautiful place to sit down and have an excellent dinner with friends and family. They will bend over backwards to help a disabled customer be comfortable as well. We went to this restaurant to celebrate my college graduation, each and every staff member came to the table to congratulate me on the accomplishment. I recently had back surgery and when we were in the other day the manager, who we've known for years in business, came to check on me to make sure that everything was okay and then they were doing everything in their power to make me comfortable. They have no problem customizing something on the menu to your tastes and desires, and I've never had a bad meal or experience in this restaurant. If you love Mexican food this is where you go to get it, at least if you want the best available! read more

Been coming to Hermiston for work multiple times per year for the last 10 years. I usually go to ixtapa Mexican restaurant down the street.. until today someone at the hotel told me about this place. I'm a sucker for enchiladas en mole. They have the best flavor in their sauce. The wait staff was very friendly and I got my meal quickly. Very satisfied, and I'll be coming here for the next 10 years. Second time here now.. hole guacamole goodness.. guacamole fresco is absolutely amazing! They come to your table and make it just like he name says fresh guacamole and they put tomatoes, jalapeños, purple onion, cilantro, and lime.. you have to get it read more

I love Mexican food and have had it in several states. I had steak fajitas and the flavor was different than what I'm used too. It was good but not as good as Texas. The refried beans were good but rice was bland. The margaritas are fantastic and strong! I would come again for the margaritas, but not sure the taste of the food would bring me back. read more

Good food and service. They have really good salsa and they have the best sit down Hispanic restaurant in town.

I went here with my sister and a friend from out of town this past weekend. I have to bump the rating from 4 stars to 5 because their food is that awesome. It definitely hits the spot. I would have loved to ordered more drinks if I wasn't driving. My strawberry margarita was great. Their service was efficient. And the best part is that they're quite affordable! This time I ordered the enchiladas verdes, and my sister ordered the pollo a la diabla, and both tasted great. We also got the fresh guacamole and it was delicious! I am still dreaming about this place 3 days later. I can't wait to go back. read more

If you find yourself in Hermiston, your options are no doubt limited. While you can certainly stick with Subway or Dominos for something edible, I'd highly recommend a stop here for some less processed cuisine. The fresh guacamole is really quite good. I enjoyed the chili spice in there; I've never tried that myself. Also, the enchilada mole is a good ol' standby, and the chicken was quite moist to boot. Overall I dare you to find better eats within 90 miles. read more

Excellent. I've eaten in Mexican restaurants across the country. The margarita was very flavorful. The guacamole made at the table had fresh ingredients. Delicious. Chili relleno had a wonderful pepper--very flavorful. Home made salsa. Everything was delicious. read more

Gave it 3 stars because even tho the tbone steak was amazing. The tortillas were not hand made tasted straight from a microwave. Rice was a bit off. Not that momma home cooked rice. Beans were good and the tbone steak fell off the bone. Sliced like a hot butter knife through butter!! read more

I would not recommend this place. The food is very greasy and they do not value customers. The service was horrible and the waitress was very disrespectful when I let her know the taco was to greasy and I will not eat it. The taco was so greasy that I was unable to pick it up without the taco coming apart as it made the shell soaking wet. I was told that is how tacos are. read more
