Beach Front View outside the restaurant

My husband and I stopped in Cabo Pulmo for snorkeling and we are so happy we came across this adorable little beach town! If you want some great fish tacos, octopus tacos, ceviche and beers beach front, you've found it! Prices were good as well in my opinion. The staff was so sweet, friendly and all smiles! Our waitress spoke some English which worked out perfectly with our little Spanish. I loved the casual beach vibes, cute authentic table cloths and vibrant colors of the restaurant mixed with the most amazing beach front view. We would go back in a heartbeat!

My group stopped for lunch, and we were glad we did. The food was great, the service was fantastic, the process were good, and the ocean view was incredible. We got to watch a pair of humpback whales playing just a bit offshore, blowing and breaching and splashing with their tails, for about ten minutes while we were eating. If I find myself back in the area, I'll definitely be stopping in again.

Like a scene from a movie, you will find this little restaurant at the edge of the small Mexican village of Cabo Pulmo and the Sea of Cortez. From the palm frond roof, to the homemade feel of the building and tables, to the five-star ocean view, everything is authentic right down to its bones. It is absolutely beautiful. And the food? Incredibly good. We ordered guacamole and chips, followed by fish tacos (Baja style of course) and a few quesadillas for the kids. There were no complaints from anyone. For a restaurant located two hours down a dirt road, it was even more impressive. The only drawbacks were it took about an hour and a half of waiting time for the food, and it was not inexpensive. Though they do warn you on the menu that all of their food is made fresh to order. So if you are going to try this place, I am willing to bet that you will not be disappointed, but make sure you have plenty of time and aren't in a rush.

Gordito the friendly restaurant dog was so kind to join us for dinner! Loved his company!

Loved our chipotle and coconut shrimp! Generous portions with an abundance of flavor! Most amazing views from a restaurant anywhere this side of Todos Santos! Margaritas were tasty and generous. Best place we have eaten in Cabo Pulmo!

Blackened Tuna

I went here during my Baja California trip for seaside activities. Cabo Pulmo is a small town with not many dining options - I believe this restaurant was the only one. This was an incidental lunch out of necessity (since we wouldn't be eating for a while and doing some water activities later) that happened to be one of the best meals I had on the trip! The blackened tuna was amazing. Easily some of the best fish I have ever had. It was so simple yet delicious and fresh - owning to the quality of the fish, which the preparation and rub highlighted. The fish tacos were good too. crispy and fresh. Service friendly, price super reasonable, under 400 pesos for the whole meal including service. Portions and sides perfect for a lunch and the food sat well for all the movement we did later! I remember using the restroom here as well as one of the only places to privately change into my wetsuit, they were clean.

The water right outside the restaurant.

I would give this restaurant 5 stars just for its view! But it's food is so good too. I had the fish tacos and fresh limonada (a natural fruit drink made from limes) which was so good! The turquoise water is so beautiful that it enhances the taste of your food. The sea air must add some savory flavor. The staff were all so nice. They patiently waited while I ordered in very imperfect Spanish, and they returned with everything I ordered, including a glass of agua minerale. It's another "must" of Cabo Pulmo!

Ate here for every single meal in 24 hours (total 3 meals; 2 lunches & 1 dinner). Location can't be beat; it's RIGHT on the beach. Food is totally solid and service is decent! Without trying any of the other 4 joints in town, I'd say this is THE spot to go to for the quintessential Cabo Pulmo dining experience and right on the waters edge.

I give 5 star to this restaurant because if I ever go back to Pulmo I will be going to this place. This place uses fresh fish, the salad was great, calamari was made to perfection and the sauce was of course hot (yummy). We had fish taco, prawn and chicken strip dish. If I had this food at another place probably I would give it 3++ but the view completed this place for me. We walked back to our bungalow in total darkness, the starry night was an event of its own.

Food was alright, but took almost 45 minutes to come out. Kinda over priced version of nearby tacos and beer which is much better.

The seafood was incredibly fresh--easily some of the best we've had. Every bite tasted like it came straight from the ocean that day. The drinks were just as impressive, perfectly made and refreshing, pairing so well with the food. What really stood out, though, was the service. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Beautiful atmosphere with lights, plenty of tables, and clean bathrooms. The seafood is so fresh! We ordered the crab meat tostada, aguichiles, ceviche, grilled octopus dinner, garlic shrimp dinner, and fresh grilled fish (Acapulco style) for 2. The dinner plates cakes with a side of rice and steamed mixed vegetables. Everything was so fresh, delicious, tender, and so flavorful. As a group, we couldn't come to a consensus on what each of our favorite dish was. We each had our own favorite. Crab meat was sweet, garlic shrimp was buttery, grilled octopus was so tender, aguichiles was so citrusy... I can go on and on. Ask for fresh tortillas. Also don't skip their margarita. Strong, citrusy, and generous serving. They accept USD or pesos. Also strolling musicians will come by your table asking to play a song. Some will tell you the price up front others will expect a tip at the end.

You could easily miss it if you blink. ;) The three of us sat down at a table in the middle of the establishment. They had the fans going, but because they use a wood burning fire, it is very smokey and you will end up smelling like a barbecue. As long as you don't mind that, the food was really good. We started off with the camaron ceviche (shrimp/prawn). It was priced at $7.50 usd which I thought was a bit on the pricer side for mexico, but it was huge and easily enough for 3 people as an appetizer. The chips here are store bought, not homemade, but I didn't come here for the chips. Next up was the entree. I ordered camaron imperales ($14) - huge prawns with cheese wrapped in bacon. They were really good a little bit too much cheese for me, but still tasty. They boys split the Pirata Combination ($16) which was one camaron imperales, one coconut shrimp topped with banana, one seabass, one piece of octopus served with a potato on top of a salad. They boys loved the combo! They have a variety of soda, beer and wine. I stuck with a homemade lemonade which was made with sparkling water. Service was great, street parking was easy. For the quality of food, the prices are reasonable.
