Went there for a late lunch. It was not very busy. Service was very prompt and friendly…read more Food was excellent, including some great vegetarian options. They even offered us some complimentary chips and a variety of fresh and tasty salsas. The cactus tacos and guacamole was also nice. They had nice decor and wall artwork that added to the charm. Would recommend stopping by for a taco or two if you're in the area.

Wow! What a great experience we had at La Lupita Taco and Mezcal…read more This is a taco place. Don't expect any else on the menu except soup & salad and a couple of apps & sides. There is an indoor area or outside courtyard you can choose from. We had the pleasure of working with several Staff members including our main waiter, Marco as well as Ivan and Miriam. They were all so fun and attentive. They brought us a small serving of soup as an appetizer. My husband had a taste of the tortilla broth which had a little kick to it and I had the bean soup. Both were a nice sampling of the soup they offered. We ordered the chips & huac to start. The chips were thick and crispy. The guacamole tasted super fresh and bright. Now, the tacos are some of the best tacos we've ever eaten in MX or the US. The creativity and variety of toppings were outstanding. I really enjoyed the EL TAKESHI 190MX Rib Eye, Sesame, Hoisin, Ginger, Chives, Crispy Shallots, Flour tortilla. The meat was cooked perfectly and the flavor they developed was delicious. I also ordered the MEXICAN FLANK STEAK $150MX. Fresh Chiapas Cheese , Arugula, Crispy Leek & Potato, Macha Sauce, Yellow Corn tortillas. All these flavors worked so well together. One of the tastiest tacos they have on the menu is a cheese based tortilla taco called CHEESE CRUST PASTOR $100MX. Talk about a flavor bomb. Marinated Pork, Asadero Cheese Crust, Cilantro, Onion, Pineapple. My husband also ordered the CHIPOTLE SHRIMP $165MX. Shrimp, Chipotle Cream, fried parsley, flour tortilla. He loved it. For my Arizona friends, they will be opening a Scottsdale location in 2027. I can wait. Add this to your must try restaurants. Also, they just opened a location in Dallas Texas.

If decided to come to the Pescadero area to explore, El Cerrito is a great spot. An hour drive from…read moreCabo's congestion. Be prepared for unpaved streets and bare bone construction sites. Drive carefully and use a navigation app because the roads off the highway are not well signed or lit. It's totally safe. I know what you're thinking...who needs a farm to table restaurant? Hierbabuena is so much more than a concept. Everything is crafted with the freshest and locally grown produce. If you're looking for cheap eats, there's a lot of options. If you need something special and aimed at great ingredients, this is the spot. Service is kind, knowledgeable, and prepared to give you recommendations. You're tucked away in a garden oasis, with incredible nourishment. There are many flowers, birds, and a great playlist. The meal started with a gratis tiny cup of tasty butternut squash soup. I requested a chicory salad because when is chicory a menu star? It's no surprise that this salad was good. The leaves were dotted with tangy goat cheese and gems of pomegranate seeds. Chicory was the star. I had the fish tacos, three dressed in adobo seasoning, a recommendation over the grilled sea bass special. The plate had three small spoons filled with guac, salsa verde, and the most incredible salsa macha. The salsa macha had notes of chocolate that paired well with the adobo seasoned fish. Don't miss this! The chile relleno was filled with quinoa and veggies, plated on top of two sauces. The flavors were really tasty and I appreciated the thoughtful vegetarian option that highlighted seasonal flavors. I walked in knowing I wanted cheesecake for dessert but then learned a favorite was their flan. I switched with no regrets. This flan was better and nothing like anything I've had before. If you like flan and love coconut, this is for you. The cocktails were so good. The martini was different, I loved this passion fruit margarita, the watermelon juice with tequila was refreshing, and they had great local beer options. I was very happy with this lovely meal. Service was wonderful. Please tip your servers; cash is preferred. They work hard and make all the efforts for a memorable meal.

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the family who runs it is lovely. If you're looking…read morefor great wood burning pizza and salads, you can't go wrong here. I'm from LA and I know good food--and the pizza and salads are top notch here. Due to the family being so lovely, I feel compelled to give them 5 stars, however, this is with a very big caveat. They play loud and absolutely terrible music here. The music does not match the super cool, beautiful and rustic surroundings. They were playing top hits from circa 2015. Think "I gotta feeling" by the black eyed peas and many Bruno Mars songs. It was a total mismatch that unfortunately took away from the evening. As far as their steaks, seafood and pork dishes, they are very good, but honestly, the hole in the wall restaurants in town are just as good or better. But i've digressed. I highly recommend this lovely place for the aforementioned reasons (ie. pizza, salads and serene rustic environment). And I do feel bad being so negative about the music but honestly it was atrocious and went completely against the beautiful environment.
