    Such good people here!

This place is such a gem in Wasco. We stopped by for some sweet bread and came out with tortillas, carnitas, candy and champurrado Lets just say the family who owns the business were great sales people. Would come back again! The carnitas did not disappoint.

    Fresh flour tortilla and carnitas!

Ok, ok, ok! So this is where we normally come during the holidays for masa but today I wanted to try out some of the pan. The woman in there was so sweet and helpful! They were making fresh tortillas and I had to try one and some of their carnitas. Let me tell you the tortillas alone are a reason to come here but the carnitas on top?! The carnitas were delicious too! Come check them out.

I'm only reviewing the Mexican bread, other than that it is just a Mexican dive that sells delicious, fresh, authentic bread. We love to get bread here every time we are in town. The bread is always fresh, really well priced, and they offer a good variety. The people working the counter are your nice, small town type workers. Great place to grab some good pan.

This bakery has changed a lot and for the better!! Their customer service is amazing and you're always welcomed with a smile. The new owners truly do appreciate their customers. I must say this place is a gem! Their specialty is fresh homemade flour tortillas! They also have delicious tamales, menudo, tortillas, pan dulce and a bunch more goodies! P.s. They also have cold beer and a mini market!

    Nothing but juice

They sell really good menu. My only problem is they charge $9 for a large cup and twice I've gotten home and it's 1/4 menudo and 3/4 juice I will not be buying my menudo from here anymore.. I bought 4 large containers and when we were done I could fill up 2 containers with nothing but juice!!!

The line is long but it goes by quick you have different types of bread to choose from and even some finger foods like lumpia's and beef sticks and other items. The atmosphere is always warm welcoming when you first come in the ladies are very friendly. This is a spot in Delano where it's a must to go for anyone who is new to this place.

Turns out its about 35 min away from me, um ok worth the drive. After reading the reviews I read they sell out pretty quickly and I realized how right they were. When I arrived there was just a few options left and not knowing what to get I watched a customer come in and make an order, to which I of course responded with I want what she ordered. You cant go wrong when you watch what is everyone's favorite. I got lady fingers, sweet cream rolls and banana filled what I believe to be a lumpia wrapper. 6 lady fingers, 2 rolls and 2 banana yummys for $7. A steal! They only take cash so be prepared for that. The lady fingers are bread with sugar coating(not at all like the Italian lady fingers that are more cookie like). They were still warm ftom being fresh made and 3 for $1 how can you pass this up. Soft, sweet bread and a hot cup.of coffee. I would be in heaven. The sweet cream rolls were soft, and pillows. When I got home I put some of my Amish made Cinnamon Pear Jam that I wrote about in a previous review and it leveled up and it felt illegal eating it. The banana lumpia dessert was good, of the choices it wasnt my favorite but im not the biggest fan of fried food. It was crispy, and the sliced bananas inside was cooked nicely and not mushy. The banana flavor was subtle but there. I would have rather had a stronger banana flavor but to me the fry oil was overpowering. The bakery has been there for ao long, do not expect an over priced fancy bakery with mid products. Youre going to an older bakery(been around since the 80s and the building probably hasnt changed much) where they know how to bake the tried and true Filipino desserts and breads without gimmicks or trends, and because they keep interior/exterior basic they can keep the prices down. This is the kind of bakery you come to for quality old school products and service, everyone is helpful and kind and they deliver the most delicious breads and desserts. I will be back soon to try their Pan de Coco!!

If you guys haven't tried the ube goodies from D'Cafe then you guys are definitely missing out!!!…read moreD'Cafe sells goodies right out of Fil Bake Shop, so you can find the goodies there or check them out on Instagram. It's probably a good thing that this is in Delano and not in Bakersfield because I would be there all the time. It's nice to see Fil Bake Shop expanding. D'Cafe is fairly new, but the baker knows her stuff. I've had my fair share of goodies from here and I think my favorite is a toss up between the crinkle cookies and the newer item which is the empanada ube hayala. The empanada texture is more like bread versus an empanada to me, but the filling is what makes it really addicting. Everyone in Delano has had the lady fingers at Fil Bake Shop, but has everyone in Delano tried the ube lady fingers from D'Cafe? If you have not tried it yet, then you better get it before it's sold out for the day. Just when you thought the lady fingers was the best thing, they one upped it with ube. FYI if you've never been here before then just know they only take cash. Parking is a little bit crazy, but when you get to the front of the line then you'll be greeted by friendly aunties and uncles waiting to serve you warm/freshly baked bread.

The business looked like it was closed. There were no lights on! We went in and saw 2 small cases of bread to our left. On the counter where the trays and tongs and a man came out and told us the bread was Oaxacan style bread. They have mostly white and wheat breads which are not sweetened or might have a raisin or chocolate piece or two inside. There were some cookies, small empanadas, and regular size turnovers. They also had a few cans and other packages of different foods on additional shelves like mole in powder form. We tried 3 of the mini pineapple empanadas (turnovers) for $1. Good and fresh. We choose a white loaf that had some chocolate pieces and a few raisins inside. It was like white bread, not moist like a pound cake or anything like that, I enjoyed it at home with coffee. That cost $2.50. I'd stop by when in McFarland, but otherwise I prefer my go to bakery in Wasco for Mexican sweet bread because of the variety available.
