We were actually stunned at the fresh homemade pasta that we shared as a starter, a beautiful combination of crab, prawn and lobster in a thermidor sauce. along with an Italian classic a Caprese Salad followed by a huge calzone pizza and a stuffed chicken breast filled with spinach, cheese and local sweet raisins. We thought things couldn't get any better, until dessert arrived.... Homemade tirimisu like you've never tasted before! Light, fluffy and flavors that only an expert could create! MAGNIFICENT!!!

I had some tapas, which were all seasoned amazingly. As a main dish I shared a seafood platter, again really tasty and of good quality. They gave us little refreshers through meals that were on the house, such as shots of gazpacho and mango sorbet and liquor for the grownups at the end of our dining. 10/10, would recommend.

Tucked away amongst the samey seafood restaurants on the seafront, this intimate traditional Spanish restaurant serves a comprehensive selection of tapas, washed down with local charm and incredibly friendly service. We were served by David, who was very patient with us trying out our very limited Spanish vocab skills. He was constantly smiling and didn't seem to resent speaking to us in English. We ordered a variety of tapas between 4 of us, including flavoursome anchovies, super-fresh calamari, a local octopus stew and some very brave patatas bravas! We particularly enjoyed the albondigas (scrumptious meatballs) and the capresi salad, ordering two portions of each. He and his daughters run the restaurant with a few close coworkers who may as well be family, and their service is as good as the food. Everything, from boquerones (lightly fried large sardines) to patatas bravas to pulpo (octopus) has been perfect every time. And the prices are fantastic at 6 euro for a plate of boquerones and 3 euro for the patatas bravas. But by far our favorite is the made to order paella mixto. Jorge puts love into his cooking, and this, and his fresh seafood and vegetables, keep us coming. Ack year after year. It is always our first meal when we reach torrevieja, our home away from home.
