I never thought I could fall in love with a soup, but here we are! (I ordered a whole extra regular size bowl )The bacalaítos were another surprise because they're normally not something I order or even particularly like--and I've tried quite a few in my life--but these were absolutely delicious. My S/O and I shared the churrasco with arroz mamposteao, along with a side of avocado salad and majado de viandas. Everything was a straight 10/10. Not one disappointment on the table. It's tiny, and the desserts of the day are nicely displayed in a small case at the front of the store. The owner/baker came out to greet us and described each of the options. We chose a lemon tart, a raspberry cheesecake, and a classic cinnamon roll. Each one was delicious. The tart was very fresh, with a strong lemon flavor, a texture that melts in your mouth, and a flaky thin crust. The cheesecake flavor was very light. The first flavor of raspberry being strong, but the cheesecake flavor following. The cinnamon roll was excellent. It is a perfect balance of cinnamon and the dough remained dense and didn't dry out, even though we waited several hours before eating it. Although we don't plan to be back in Ponce any time soon, I wanted to ensure a good review so other's may enjoy the beautifully made desserts at this small local bakery.
