Delicious, Delicious, Delicious!!! Lovely ambiance and excellent service. We went for dinner at approximately 7:30 and were quickly seated. Beautiful decor in a nice cozy setting. We started with the harissa soup that was very delicious. Slow cooked lamb with lentils in a delicious stew. Loved that they served the soup with lemon. The fresh bread was delicious dipped in the soup. For dinner had both chicken almond prune, chicken olive lemon and a lamb eggplant. All three where delicious! My favorite was the chicken prune almond. Comes with a healthy serving of couscous. Larger serving, could defiantly serve 2. Try the mint tea it's so refreshing!

This café is attached to Paris grand mosque, it offers a truly exotic oriental experience in the middle of Paris. The architecture and decor is authentic, I didn't try the food, but the mint tea and pastries are pretty good (very sweet). If you are a hookah aficionado (called Shisha here) or care to try it for the first time this is a good spot for that, they offer only one flavor; apple, but it's pretty good, and the atmosphere is just right for a hookah.

Over the years I have come here quite a few times, and this was my latest trip after a 13 year absence. I used to love the place. It went from being a hidden gem to a tourist ridden hot spot. Seating is way more cramped - to accommodate all the new comers. Service is terrible. France is not known for customer service, but here they could really give a shit if you are seated, eating, coming, or going. They just don't care. After seating ourselves in the dining area, we waited 30 min. No one helped us so I flagged the waiter down and asked for a menu. Then we waited another 20 min to order - again, had to flag down a waiter. Food took even longer than that. The food itself has declined as well. The pastille was good. We also cous cous royal. It was supposed to come with a sampling of all the meats. They forgot the chicken, over cooked the kafta kabob to where it was way too dry, and they way undercooked the lamb chop. The broth also needed salt. The saving grace is still the mint tea, and now the shisha.

This place had the best couscous! So happy my friend recommended this place. The couscous was delicious and very flavorful. The merguez were perfect. I was looking for an awesome meal to take after a few days in Paris to scratch the couscous itch and this place did it for sure! Highly recommended. I even got seated with an incomplete party, and the mint tea was obviously also pretty awesome. Love how they pour it in front of you.

My mother and I were so delighted by the sights and especially the flavorful food we enjoyed here. The fruit juices were a refreshing way to wash down couscous! I really loved the vegetables in broth. I don't remember exactly what else we had. We went in November and it was chilly! The courtyard area was blocked off with a thick plastic curtain. When I return to paris this is on my list!!!

kind of weird that the reviews for the restaurant and the sauna are mixed in together. although perhaps in the same building it can confuse people as far as reviews go. I'll be reviewing the restaurant which is definitely NOT "€"!!!!!!!!!!! but at least €€. it's one of the most expensive Moroccan food i've had. tried the chicken pastry with powdered sugar. it was good and it had pine nuts. it was like 12€. it is a standout dish. also, i split a plate of couscous - combination of meats. it was like 22€ for that. the cous cous was the smallest i have tried and came with a broth with vegetables to accompany it. the meat sampler was great as well, although the lamb chops weren't impressive. the mint tea was quite good and the interior is beautiful.

My cousin and I came here because we missed Moroccan cuisine and arabic café ambience. This is a big mosque but behind it there is a very big café and sitting area (indoors and outdoors/terrace/garden). It is such a beautiful café and we had a great time sitting in the terrace surrounded by many people who are enjoying either their shisha, Moroccan mint tea or having a tagine. Beautiful atmosphere, colourful, authentic decor, typical Moroccan interior design and great service! Definitely come here for a wonderful oriental experience :)

That's what drew us to the fresh Israeli fare at this casual cafe. At around 7PM, the place was hopping because there were quite a few people not only dining but also waiting for takeout orders. We planted ourselves at the counter facing the busy prep area where the staff was assembling plates and pitas. We decided to share the 7,50€ Green Beans which looked to be quickly sautéed in lemon, garlic, and olive oil to a fresh, tasty snap (Photo 10). Jamie ordered the 13€ Golden Ratatouille, a healthy melange of eggplant, tomato, zucchini, carrot, and onion mixed in their house tomato sauce with a nice side of hard-boiled egg and tahini (Photo 8). Well, I thought one of us should try their specialty pita sandwiches, so I went with the 13€ Lamb Kebab. It was delicious with big lamb and beef meatballs peeking out of a nice fluffy pita stuffed with red onions and chopped cilantro, mint, and green onions. It was slathered liberally with tahini and their housemade spicy sauce (Photo 9). It was just the Middle Eastern meal we were hankering for. We can have escargots and croissants some other time. The downstairs is two tiny high tops for two and one that might fit three plus a few tables out front. I mention that so when you go, not to expect a sit down experience. The food was nothing that other places don't make, but was so good. I had a simple shawarma wrap and a side of baba ghanoush. Both were excellent. The shwarma was beef and lamb, which I ordered with the Toum and hot sauce, as well as the standard onions, pickled veggies, and tomatoes, and it was small. But every bite was perfect! I don't know why or how, but the little wrap could have been the best thing I ate the entire trip, and believe me when I say that I ate a lot. I have eaten shwarma and/ or kebabs from dozens of places in dozens of cities and I can't say that I have had better. I ate great shwarma at Taza on Queensway and throughout London in the 90s, but bite for bite, this was as good or better. I hope my glowing review doesn't set the bar impossibly high, because it's the simplicity that makes this little sandwich so good. It's also in a fun and vibrant neighborhood near the Pompidou Center, so I would highly recommend this for lunch or even a hearty snack for someone who may be walking all day.

However, I was visiting Le Marais with a local who assured us that he had tried both Mi Va Mi and L'as Du and couldn't figure out any discernible difference between the two. (I guess it's one of those Geno's vs. Pat's situations.) I was ready to eat, so I opted for Mi Va Mi. The falafel was exceptional! It's fried fresh and it was just delicious. I also appreciated the addition of fried eggplant on top. So good! My favorite falafel experience of all time. I only wish I had gotten more of their "spicy sauce" which wasn't terribly spicy, but very garlicky! My husband got a grilled sausage and enjoyed that, but returned after finishing his sausage for a plate of just plain falafel. The staff was super nice! We ended up here for our first bite in France because L'As du Fallafel was on vacay (and they were randomly closed another day when we tried to go back, so I can't make a comparison until next time we travel to France) We got the PITA CHAWARMA (11€) to-go, and this put pita sandwiches in America to shame. ** Mi Va Mi's version was huge, and it was the perfect amount to be shared by two people for a light lunch while leaving stomach space for pastries ** It had a generous portion of grilled turkey and chopped cucumbers, drizzled in a yummy yogurt sauce, and wrapped in a fluffy fresh pita ** In my opinion, I think they could have gone lighter on the yogurt sauce since it was dripping and soggy. I think this is the first time ever that I didn't mind a soggy sandwich though, because the flavor was sooo delicious ** There's something about the pita too, that was reminiscent of the taste and texture of focaccia ** I had expected the shawarma to be the star, but instead I was impressed by how well the pita sandwich came together as a whole. It was hearty and satisfying without being too salty or heavy Tips: - They are speedy! Food was ready shortly after we ordered since they assemble everything on the spot - Spicy and non-spicy options - Small dining areas indoor and outdoors (plan on just standing in the picturesque alleyway) - It's a bit messy to eat even with forks, but this makes for an awesome street food experience

Since we were planning on getting gelato after dinner we all decided to do a start and a main course. I got the sweet potato with tahini, tomato and fresh herbs. Very light and earthy dish. We told them (well my friends did since they speak French) that I had a nut allergy. When the calamari dish came out it looked like there was some sort of nut in there so I asked my friend to double check for me. They did and conclude it was nut so they had to remake my dish. There are no indications for allergens on the menu I noticed as well. They remade my dish and I dug in. The flavors was a bit too tart for my liking. There was also very little calamari since it was buried in the risotto. The flavors were just not my cup of tea but I did enjoy how fresh everything was and how nice the staff was. Maybe if I ordered something else I would have liked it more? Overall an okay experience.
