The only reason I'm knocking off one star has nothing to do with Kaihler herself, but the salon's product pricing. I purchased a hair product there for $47, then realized afterward the exact same product/size is selling for around $25 at Ulta and Amazon, and even the brand's own website has it listed for $36. Marking products up that much is pretty scammy and left a bad taste in my mouth, so I definitely wouldn't purchase products from the salon again. But overall, Kaihler herself was amazing and I'd definitely recommend booking with her!

Found this place simply by good fortune and glad he did. The site is a bit hard to find, but it is in the same shopping area as Gelson's Market. There is a receptionist who looks a bit worse for wear, and she has earned it since the place is enormous and just running slightly on this side of out of control; it seemed to me that everybody was smiling, so it looked as tho they had their pace precisely right. Now Larry likes a bit of color to wash away the few strands of grey creeping into his flowing mane, and it is tough to find a colorist and stylist who does men's hair, but they hooked me up with a terrific, experienced stylist who did ONLY man-color and she was great. First stripped the old color ( a necessary but often forgotten step), added the proper color, and then a superb cut. Sorry, but this time, you all don't get her name. I'm keeping this one to myself. All while keeping up a string of thoroughly inappropriate commentary that kept me howling with laughter and made the time race by. All for what Larry thought was a very reasonable price, about the cost of two quarts of oil for the DB9. She has had me removed and banned. . She said she would refund $75.00 if I removed my reviews., I did and now she is threatening me with an attorney and a restraining order because I told my truth. Don't go to this gal. There is several things wrong, all if which I have the right to share my experience. I have also had to reach out to my brother in law who is an attorney. I asked for $100.00 back and she's called me an extortionist. Go see someone else, you'll be glad you did.

She is the only hair stylist I've ever had that isn't afraid to give me what I like to call 'All the layers.' After decades of 'meh' haircuts she DELIVERED. Now I refuse to see anyone else, and refer friends to her when they ask me about my hair. Before Kristen and Salon Rouge I went to quite a few salons and probably paid a lot more than I should have, thinking if I pay top dollar I would get the cut I was after. Nope. Every time I went to get a haircut (I have long hair that goes to mid-torso) I would show the stylist photos of what I wanted - layers and layers I could style into a beautiful, voluminous, layered look, but would always leave with what looked like a trim and a couple longer layers that ended up looking sad and hanging flat. It's honestly been a relief to know I can just go to Kristen and leave with exactly what I'm looking for. Aside from the amazing work she does, she's also great to talk to.
