Now I refuse to see anyone else, and refer friends to her when they ask me about my hair. Before Kristen and Salon Rouge I went to quite a few salons and probably paid a lot more than I should have, thinking if I pay top dollar I would get the cut I was after. Nope. Every time I went to get a haircut (I have long hair that goes to mid-torso) I would show the stylist photos of what I wanted - layers and layers I could style into a beautiful, voluminous, layered look, but would always leave with what looked like a trim and a couple longer layers that ended up looking sad and hanging flat. It's honestly been a relief to know I can just go to Kristen and leave with exactly what I'm looking for. Aside from the amazing work she does, she's also great to talk to. Never an awkward or uncomfortable moment (it's the worst when that happens) - she's the type of person you feel like you've known forever, which makes going to see her a fun experience overall!

Throughout the whole process she talked to me and made me feel so welcomed. She helped me find the right products for my hair as my scalp is dry and I need more nutrients for my hair. I'm am confident with the upkeep of my hair. She was honest and didn't charge me for things I didn't need. The end was result was beyond words and I cried. I came to Tiffany for a color correction after another stylist left toner on too long. Ironically, my hair looked better before seeing her. I showed clear inspiration photos and explained that I wanted a soft, lived-in brunette with dimension -- nothing stripy or overly warm. What I ended up with was the complete opposite: uneven, stripy, yellow, and dull. It looked nothing like the photos. Tiffany told me the issue was that the toner "oxidized," so I trusted her and went back for her to fix it. Not only did I have to return, but I was charged an additional $150 on top of the $800+ I already paid. Even after the "fix," my hair still looks brassy, uneven, and far from what I asked for. When I reached out requesting at least a partial refund, she refused and told me my hair looked "vibrant" and similar to the inspiration photos -- which is honestly shocking, because it is not even close. On top of the color issues, the haircut was just as disappointing. The initial trim was choppy and uneven, and when she attempted to fix it, she aggressively cut face-framing layers by pulling hair forward from the back and chopping it. Now I'm stuck having to grow it out because it looks so uneven. At this point, I now have to pay another stylist to correct everything for a third time, which is incredibly frustrating after spending nearly $1,000 already. For the prices she charges, I expected a much higher level of skill, professionalism, and accountability. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. First photo is how my hair looks now - including the uneven, choppy cut. The next photos are right after the initial appointment, followed by how it looked after just a few washes. The last photos are the inspiration, which it looks nothing like.

Compared to the photos I showed, my hair is a lot darker overall. When I asked her about the color being darker her reason was "we didn't do a full weav on you as well". I don't believe this was due to partial vs. full weaving, as I've had plenty of both in the past and achieved blonde results. In my opinion, the smudging and the extra darkness left in between made it much darker than what I was hoping for based on my inspiration pictures. I also spoke with her assistant about one of the photos because it appeared too dark compared to what I asked for. I have showed and asked other people's opinions and they agree that it is a lot different then what I asked for, including my nail and lash techs'. I expressed all of this in a message afterward explaining how I felt, but after it was read, I did not receive a response. That part was disappointing. I paid about $280 for a this service with the partial weave, and I did not receive the final price until I was sitting in the chair during a short consult, which I would have preferred to know ahead of time. I also feel the haircut should have been explained more clearly before cutting. Simply showing how much length was going to be removed and confirming how short it would be would have helped me feel more aware and comfortable with the change. I do appreciate that she re-toned my hair and took the time to blow dry and style it. I wanted to share my feedback for future clients who are looking for a brighter blonde result and clearer communication regarding pricing. Also, I don't want to have it corrected right now, as further processing would likely cause more damage to my hair. If anything, I would appreciate a partial refund for the inconvenience.
