I think you have to be with babies, but she understood the general nature of babies, and was open to working at the right time, and worked quickly * She did a good job juggling keeping a baby/kid engaged while taking the photographs. This is a lot of work and she got great expressions out of the kids * The moments she captured were beautiful. I'm a photographer, too (of spaces, not people) and I know that getting the right moment with the right expression can be difficult. * She had lots of props and lots of posing ideas. Lots of creativity with the lighting and made sure we got the shots we wanted. * She turned the photographs, and the resulting prints, around quickly and with professionalism. They were beautifully retouched. in all, she was professional, quick, very skilled, and fun to work with. And her rate is comparable pretty affordable. I am really glad I had her take photos. We were one of those couples that didn't have a ton of direction but Hanel always seemed to be one step ahead. His team showed up impeccably dressed (straight out of Vogue!) and seamlessly blended in, capturing moments for almost 8 hours. Creatively, Hanel has an eye for weddings that is few and far between. He is constantly ideating and thinking of different poses, and does a great job not only executing but making those participating feel comfortable. Hanel came highly recommended to us by our friends who had gotten married and chose him as their…read morephotographer, and we are so glad that we got to meet him at that wedding! He was so kind and approachable at the very first meeting that we had zero reservations in choosing him even though we didn't know too many details about his style of photography or what it would be like to work with him. Turns out his style is both inventive and artistic, and and he is extremely easy to work with (we got so lucky!) At our engagement session, he went out of his way to get shots that were absolutely gorgeous. One particular shot of us on a bridge involved him walking out very far away and still try to give us directions so we look our best in the photos. To get to all the locations we had in mind, an unanticipated cab ride was involved. Even then, Hanel took that opportunity to capture some of our favorite shots. He really goes above and beyond in every way. For couples who are not comfortable in front of the camera - do not worry! Hanel will talk you through all the shots and he does not actually pose you, so everything looks natural and beautiful. My husband learned how to pose for photos ever since. On our wedding day, Hanel and his staff were punctual and so pleasant to work with. Looking back at our wedding photos, he did not miss a single significant moment and in fact captured a lot that we had missed. Our photos came out looking authentic and so very beautiful. Some of the ones at sunset are jaw-dropping gorgeous - our friends and family keep telling us unprompted months after the wedding (and I really do think it's the photographs that they love and not just us). Once again, Hanel and his staff went above and beyond - he even took photos while standing precariously on a moving golf cart (again, one of our favorites that's getting framed!). One of the staff who works at the venue said he had seen over 500 weddings and never once did a photographer do that. He was so patient in giving our huge wedding party directions, and took the time to learn everyone's name. All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were so amazed by his incredible work ethic. At another later wedding, one of the groomsmen remarked to me that "yeah that photographer was not even close to Hanel". It's not a competition, but it does speak a lot to Hanel's professionalism and how great it is to work with him. On top of all this, he is so kind in his demeanor and so patient in answering all of our questions. He is overall just a very good person and the entire experience was a pleasure. He is the best and we can't wait to have him take our family portraits in the future.

I was so in love with those pictures that I went with my gut and reached out to them, even though I thought the chance of hiring such an amazing team was slim. As Wolfgang described his photography style - classic with a touch of editorial, I just knew that they were exactly who I wanted to capture our big day. So we signed a destination wedding package with them. Since we are out in California, all communications were through phone or email and Wolfgang was always on top of everything. I got to meet him in person when I visited NYC and knew that I had made the right decision. Came the week of the wedding, both Chiaki and Wolfgang met us at SF City Hall for pictures, met us again at the rehearsal, and then spent probably 12 hours with us on our wedding day. She is excellent and I definitely recommend her. She's such a sweetheart and knows what she is doing. She is located in NJ not far of a drive from queens. She has great packages and she is upfront and clear about everything. No hidden fees. Her studio is small but very lovely. She has everything you possibly can think of to use for props. Blankets, hats, wagons, bows, maternity dresses so no need to buy anything. You can bring your own props if you would like. For my maternity shoot I was there for a few hrs. I did in studio pics and outdoor. No extra cost. I felt like a model. She had beautiful dresses and I couldn't decide what to pick. No worries, she has every single color you can think of. We went to a local park a few minutes away from her studio. I picked out 3 dresses and a few head pieces and off we went. She knows how to position you and makes you feel so comfortable. Once we were done hubby and I went for a quick bite to eat while she put the pictures together for a quick view. We came back and she went through all the pictures she took and I selected the ones I wanted. What a long but amazing day. Now fast fwd and I'm back but no belly this time. I have a newborn!!!! Only a few days old. She recommends you come with your LO around 14 days old. It's just much easier to pose them and they stay still. She keeps the room very very warm for the babies so if you show up, wear a t shirt. She puts them in all the cute outfits ( yes my baby also had his model moment lol) and I just stood by and watched half asleep standing up and sitting on couch( new parents know that feeling).
