I went for diner with friends during the holidays. The place was warm and felt nice when I entered. It was a very cold night. It wasn't full and we were quite welcomed. it is a BYOB and this is the reason we chose this place. We had 4 bottles for 4 person and the lady made a remark like she tough it was too much. I tough it was rude. I had to serve the wine myself all the time as the glasses were always empty and even open some of my bottles alone since she was nowhere to be found. The first course was nice, I had the four cheeses fondant, which was not fondant but still ok. My boyfriend had the smoked duck wich was fantastic!
Then, there was soup, just plain.
the main courses were nothing extravagent but quite nice.
All the lobster tails were overcooked but my guinea fowl was marvelous.
The dessert was also disapointing. The waitress told us it was the best cheesecake in the world but it tasted like a sweet philadelphia brick. It did not stood up to my 2009 Château Guiraud.
Overall, there's some highs and some lows. read more
