The dining area inside the building.

This review is for the stationary food truck in front of the supermarket. I stopped here this evening to see myself if all of the high Yelp ratings were true. With my experience today, the ratings ARE well deserved. I ordered three different tacos: pastor, barbacoa, and asada, and a tamale (tamal in Spanish). There are more types of tacos that are available on the menu, and my favorite meat here is the pastor. The pastor meat was on the rotisserie in the mainly enclosed area just in front of the food truck. On of the cooks came out of the truck after I ordered, sliced meat off of the rotisserie, and quickly grilled the meat. The tacos and tamale tasted really delicious! The barbacoa was my least favorite of the three meats. It wasn't bad; it's just that the others were that much better. I thought that the best tasting meat was the pastor. My food came out hot, and was placed on waxed paper in a basket. I took the basket of food to the dining area inside of the market. You can get to the dining area by walking to the corner of the building that's closest to the food truck. There is a door that leads to the dining area. There are ample tables and chairs. Mexican programming was being shown on the flat screen. Hot sauces, both red and green, are available on the tables. If you like your food with more kick, squeeze the red sauce onto your food, and that'll spice it up nicely. I wasn't ready for my dining experience to end so soon, so I went back and ordered two more pastor tacos! Mmmmmmmm! Lots of parking available for this business, and the food prices are very reasonable.

Came here for some ingredients for a Mexican dinner my husband and I are hosting tomorrow evening. We recently went on vacation to Hualtuco, Mexico and fell in love with the local cuisine. The grocery store had plenty of authentic ingredients - I was most impressed by their selection of dried chilies. It was a delight to have lunch at their store front food truck. I've never heard of pastor until we were in Hualtuco and I was excited to see they had it here! Al pastor is marinaded pork layered on a turning spit - very similar to Gyros. As such, this popular cuisine is rooted from Lebanese immigrants in Mexico. The spitted pork is shaved off per order for the tacos and typically served with sliced pineapples (which a whole one is stuck on the vertical spit on top of the pork), onions, and cilantro. IT WAS DELICIOUS. And at $1.50 per taco, an amazing deal! My husband and each got two tacos al pastor and one chicken tamale - totaling $10 for the both of us. This place has incredible, cheap, delicious, and authentic mexican cuisine. Their food truck is highly recommended!

Can't speak for the market, but the food truck is amazing!!! If you order to eat "in", you can make your way around the corner into a spartan dining room. The experience is a tad weird, but the food is incredible! I, personally, love the barbacoa quasadilla- holy, moly!

Wonderful tacos with 6-7 different fillings including beef cheeks and yummy BBQ. House made chicharones. Friendly service and football on the TV.

This Angeleno finally found her go-to taco joint in Akron! Come for the pastor and stay for the baked goods and supplies.

After searching…read moreother stores for a couple weeks and coming up empty, I was please to find whole nutmeg here. I found some other stuff too! I remembered seeing large bins of bulk candy and spices at Acme. So I figured, why not visit again to see if they have whole nutmeg. I didn't realize whole nutmeg was so expensive! It's like $74/lb. But I only bought two seeds, which ended up being $1.49. I'm following this chef that swears by fresh nutmeg. As I was walking around the store, happy because I found whole nutmeg, I saw a couple candy aisles. They have all the good stuff from when you were a kid. See the pictures of those candies that I posted. They have an amazing alcohol selection also. They have a ton of wine, a ton of spirits, and it's not the cheap stuff either, and all the beer you could possibly drink. Need a bottle of Stoli? They got it! They have top shelf liquor and you don't have to sneek into any silly state liquor store to buy it. I asked a worker discretely, "Is there a special cash register for this hard liquor" and he's was all like, "Na, man. You just take it to the checkout." I'm going to have to visit again. Their selection is excellent.

Some seem to be notorious according to social media. Much too often to be a coincidence. You have a bad reputation on social media. Many people complain about your corrupt practices. If you were honest you would probably have more customers or at least keep the ones you have. A lower price on the shelf and a higher price when you check out. That's illegal. It's theft. Sometimes there has been a sale sign on the shelf and when you check out it's not on sale. Illegal, that too is theft. If you blame your workers for the problem I suggest you fire them. No one would work for me that did that. If you condone it yourself well then that's your problem. If I conducted a business I would treat my customers with honesty and respect. Maybe that's old school and you don't do that anymore. I have done most my shopping at Acme so long ago I can't remember. Back when the store first opened on Manchester Road. Gradually I have had problems and shopped elsewhere but Steve Albrecht was a great man and always corrected things and so I always went back. Seems like it's out of hand now that Steve's gone. Very seldom do I shop there anymore. Other stores are much better. They seem to be more honest and they are respectful of their customers. If you rip your customers off you have no respect for them and I personally resent that. I wouldn't rob you and I don't expect you to rob me.

We have two cats otherwise we would likely have consumed every odd can in the pantry before trying to get groceries. I tried many others but was only able to get delivery dates a week from now -- if they would come to my neighborhood at all! Giant Eagle promised delivery in the morning. Lifesaver. They aren't perfect-- they forgot all the drinks (one of which was seltzer I was counting on for part of my "feel better) and charge just under 10 dollars for their third party delivery-- but the customer service (and this MATTERS) answers the phone. Also, at our point of desperation (the cats were out of food obviously) I was grateful for the option. The disconnect between the delivery person and the store might make error remediation a challenge, but sick and in bed and near a holiday during a pandemic I got better service than one might expect. I had to come back and give full credit after: 1. They sent someone over with the beverages an hour later with no ceremony. 2. I just saw that they refunded us $10 Big equity earned. This made me feel good about doing business with the company.
