Having eaten here a couple times since moving to the area, this restaurant serves delicious pasta dishes. The pizza is good but not great. At least it is better than Pizza Hut or whatever American pizza franchise is in the surrending area. However, for me having lived in Italy for 3 years and tasted real Italian pizza, the pizza still leaves something to be desired. Could this be because of a difference in water? German flour vs. Italian flour? Lack of fresh ingredients? No use of a wood burning over? I don't know, but I will tell you this: Unless I am absolutely craving pizza, I will just wait until the next time I am in Italy. This comment goes for all the pizza I have tasted in Germany. But for those times when I am craving pizza, Ristorante Taormina is definitely a good option. You can tell this is a family run business. The people that worked there are very friendly. In all, we ordered 7 entrees ranging from schnitzel to baked tortellini. Food was great, portions were huge, and everyone enjoyed thier meals... The prices were reasonable. I'd recommend this place to anyone that is in the mood for good home cooked Italian style food.
