Then gave his recommendations and proceeded to tell us if we are not happy(with his mother's recipes) we eat free. No free meal today, the food was all excellent! I had the Timpana Maltesa, my daughter enjoyed the Lasagna and my wife had one of the burgers with chipotle and Gouda cheese. You must try the orzata, a twist on Mexican horchata made with fresh almonds. We all enjoyed pitchers of fresh lemonade and orangemade. If you still have room, you must have the desserts. The 7 of us enjoyed sharing several, and the coffee was excellent too!

Even though we were looking for Mediterranean/Persian food and this was Israeli food, the menu seemed decent. We waited for what seemed an eternity, but it couldn't have been a full 10 minutes. The person who seemed destined to be our waiter walked by to attend to other customers he was serving multiple times. He didn't even so much as acknowledged or greet us. In all the trips by us he didn't say hello, or offer water. After a few minutes we just got up and left. Now you have to take this in the context of how people welcome customers in Mexico City. The first words are almost always "Bienvenido." There are too many lovely restaurants and people in Mexico City to suffer any kind of "desprecio" for any reason. If a business only wants a certain kind of customer they should let people know so they won't waste their time going there...

A unique spot with a menu that has a Mediterranean flare, the mixed berry salad was fresh and the lemon ravioli was so light and flavorful. It had the perfect amount of parmesan cheese on top. The plate looked a little small but it was very filling. My family also really enjoyed the oysters as an appetizer. The warm rosemary bread with olive oil was absolutely heavenly and maybe my favorite part of the whole meal! I mean who doesn't appreciate a really good bread?? The baked chicken breast was moist and the sauce and mashed potatoes that came with it were so creamy. The drinks are well made and my sangria with vodka was great. Its presentation made for a nice picture. Lastly, the interior atmosphere was modern and chic. It was very pretty with leaves hanging from the ceiling and a terrace filled with plants. Definitely returning here next time I'm in Mexico City!

This time I'm sharing with you Loretta in the beautiful south of Mexico City. Contrary of what you can think it's not Mexican food. It's a version of Alt Cuisine of French delights. Yes, French Fusion Alt Cuisine in the south of the largest city of the world. Being fare my opening Martini was fine... but the food was extraordinaire!!! Service... you can't ask for better, Omar our waiter was not the only one serving us, we had three more people attending the table alert to anything we need (Mexica style) and the food my daughter, my step son and I asked for three different plates to share and was an experience my grand daughter my grandniece and Milo Constanza's boyfriend had pasta with truffle and were amazed!!! Dessert included the impressive Flambé... everything under the supervision of Abel owner and master chief... if you are in Mexico City, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy Loretta.

Leonardo y Ulises me atendieron increíble. I'm visiting Mexico City and randomly ended up at Almara for dinner, and OMG. I had the filet and it was seriously one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, so tender, and SO good. And I don't know what they put in that white rice, but it is absolute heaven. I could literally eat a whole plate of just the rice. Leonardo and Ulises took such good care of me and were both so sweet and welcoming. I'm traveling alone, and they made me feel completely comfortable and taken care of the entire time. Such a good meal, great service, and just an overall great experience. I will definitely be back while I'm in CDMX!

My only real complaint is the doner is not 100% lamb, even though I realize the main ingredient of doner does not necessarily have to be lamb. Fine, but they do not have any meat options that are 100% lamb, though the paidakia horin (ribs) were damn good. The service is usually pretty good, which is Mexican means overwhelming at first then frustrating because the waiter disappears, forcing you to go on a scavenger hunt for the check. Aside from that, the pita bread is delicious, but that should never be screwed up, under any circumstances. As far as seating, there are more options outdoors than indoors. As for parking, valet in Polanquito or else park outside of Polanquito and walk.
