Even though we were looking for Mediterranean/Persian food and this was Israeli food, the menu seemed decent. We waited for what seemed an eternity, but it couldn't have been a full 10 minutes. The person who seemed destined to be our waiter walked by to attend to other customers he was serving multiple times. He didn't even so much as acknowledged or greet us. In all the trips by us he didn't say hello, or offer water. After a few minutes we just got up and left. Now you have to take this in the context of how people welcome customers in Mexico City. The first words are almost always "Bienvenido." There are too many lovely restaurants and people in Mexico City to suffer any kind of "desprecio" for any reason. If a business only wants a certain kind of customer they should let people know so they won't waste their time going there...

After scrolling thru the review photos I thought for sure I would land on a burger. But I was pleasantly surprised to see they had hot dogs on the menu, which were cleverly disguised as Perras Maltesas. And being that I am not a vegetarian, I ordered the carnivore selection. Boy, was I glad I found the hot dog on that menu. It is presented in "pig in a blanket" style with two 1/4 pound beefy dogs in homemade roll with 2 kinds of gooey cheese and caramelized onions. And even though I am normally a chili dog kinda girl, I have to say every bite of this tasty combo tasted like a bite from home. And these guys aren't kidding around. The dog runs end to end and it's a hearty meal for one or perfect snack for two. The picture shows the dog after I cut it in half for sharing. The dog is grilled and the bun is toasty warm lending to yummy, gooey, cheesy melt. If you are jonseing for a good hot dog in Mexico City, this is your destination.

The beer was refreshing and the chips that they offer you while you wait for your food is a nice touch. As for the food, it was salty and it was overall OK. Their doubles are served more like quadruples yay them! My fiancé appreciated his whiskey pour. BEST CEASER SALAD I HAVE EVER TASTED. Our appetizer was great (the name was funny so not sure) it was Argentinean cheese on the grill with baguette and tomato. I've never tasted any cheese like this, my fiancé thought it was chicken. Did I say they have the BEST CEASER SALAD EVER (add the chicken it's delicious). Oh and I'm normally not a fan of ceaser. However full disclosure, the dressing is made like it was created, oil, egg, dijon and anchovies (no you can't taste the anchovies)! The burger was just the icing on the cake - chef's kiss x 100!
