Food was decent, but generally unremarkable. My steak didn't have much flavor, but the service was excellent. Nice restaurant, but a little pricey for underwhelming food. The ambient music was strange, too. They were playing American party music, but the decor was rustic Mexican. Odd. This is an okay place to eat, if you're too lazy to cross the street. read more

The restaurant is attached to the Courtyard, however you have to go outside. The atmosphere is great, and it's a great place to sip on tequila. The food is always really good when I eat here, and I usually get the arrechara. For the steaks you do have to buy sides a la carte. We are in town for two nights for work and this is the restaurant downstairs. Since I was instructed not to leave the hotel grounds on my own for any reason I chose to eat here. So far I am very impressed. We ordered the escamole which are literally ant eggs this is something I've never tried. When they came out in a bowl they looked like cus cus. I took a bite and they melted in my mouth. A melted buttery and nutty lightly salted taste melted immediately in my mouth as I dipped my spoon in for a second bite. They were outstanding! For dinner we ordered "Grilled for two people" an entire plate of meat which consisted of a plethora of meats which were cooked to perfection and came with a side of guacamole and corn tortillas. For dessert we ordered the crepes which were made AT THE TABLE and of course the Churros. Both were delicious... the best part, The entire meal cost a little over $40 a person! read more

Excellent food, great atmosphere and an incredibly convenient location when staying at the Marriott Courtyard Tollucan. The quality of the meats and other food is fantastic and the service is very good. I would highly recommend this place for dinner or lunch (however they don't open until 1:00pm). read more

The menu is non descriptive, the meat portions are EXTREME. There is lacking in accoutrements. We ordered a few appetizers and we were not happy. We ordered pizzas which were under cooked. Tasted like card board. I don't know what is going on there. read more

Toluca surprisingly has a decent Yelp following. I'm partial to this restaurant because I try and stay at the Courtyard next door whenever possible. The convenience factor aside it has amazing food. I have had a few different cuts of steak, my favorite being the chorizo de bife. They have big portions and nice appetizers. I recommend the provolone appetizer. Can't go wrong here, especially if you're staying at the Courtyard. I usually post up at the bar and catch the game and a beer. Good times. read more
