A very cute bistro type of restaurant with super friendly staff. I wouldn't say it's French food…read morebut good faux European. The setting is very comfortable and friendly.
We decided on the menu of the day and among the 4 tried various options from their menu. For starters, we tried the salad, tomato soup, arabian soup and pate. The salad was large with a simple dressing, tomato soup ok, arabian soup disappointing and pate disappointing as well. The arabian soup was bitter, with an uneven use of curry spices. The pate was bland with overwhelming use of peppercorns. For entrees we had the fish and pork dishes. The fish itself was good but there was very very little of the cream sauce (which it needed) and the vegetables and pasta were bland, without sauce or seasonings. The best part of the dinner were the saint-emilion wine and dessert. A fruit compote with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and berries.
Still a lovely time with friends.
