My mother purchased a beautiful wooden kitchen island with a marble top and leather woven stools for her home. She came home one day to find the marble countertop side trim pieces shattered on the floor. This kitchen island is now dangerous with sharp edges exposing that the marble countertop is less than a 1/2 inch thick. The owner was unwilling to give her any accommodation or good will gesture to rectify this defective piece. I was told to sand the sharp edges to prevent injury to my mother's aged thin skin. I guess you get what you pay for as this was a reasonably priced solution for her kitchen and now it's dangerous and unsightly.

So, again, I will just stress that I feel like Melanie definitely has an eye for floral design and I was very happy with how the flowers turned out. The only complaint I would have is that it is a little bit hard to get a hold of Melanie, as I've seen a few other reviewers mention. But, she does a great job and is reliable, so I really can't hold it against her. She seems to get really focused and caught up in whatever wedding is coming up, so I'm guessing she just spends more time actually arranging flowers vs business administrative things. So, bottom line: Last Petal does gorgeous work. You might not get a lot of communication from Melanie, but don't worry, your flowers will turn out great!

I can't say enough good things about Budget Blinds of East Austin. Kristin Schumann and her Husband…read moreBrian were both so helpful and easy to do business with. Kristin was very patient with me while I selected my fabrics and style. She even helped me come up with a creative solution to make my roller shades disappear when fully open. We decided on motorized roller shades and it is the greatest decision I have ever made! We did a black fascia instead of a cassette(valance) to cover the rollers so that it would blend into our black window frames. They disappear during the day and give us privacy at night. The best part, they go up and down at the times we chose so we never think about them! If needed, Amazon's Alexa is always there to help! We had one small manufacture glitch that was taken care of IMMEDIATELY! The day I notified Kristin of the problem she had the manufacturer ship out the replacement part and her husband was at our house repairing the motor within a couple of days! We have had NO other issues with our roller shades. The only reason I am even mentioning this very small glitch is to let you know how fast they will resolve any issue that might come up. If I ever need to purchase window coverings again in Austin, I will 100% still use Budget Blinds East Austin, Giddings & Surrounding Areas! Stop searching for a company and call them now!

I had the BEST experience with Luis and the team at Austin Granite Direct. My god I don't even know…read morewhere to begin. I'm a first time home buyer and the counters in my townhome where SHOT. So I started out at home depot and fell in love with a granite sample there and got a quote at the help desk. The experience was less than stellar so I called around a few shops. Austin Granite Direct informed me that they had the same slab at pretty much the same price, but a centimeter thicker than HD! They came out, measured, and had a quote before HD even REACHED out to schedule the measure. I went to the show room to confirm the slab I wanted and they had my scheduled for install a week later. Luis came and did a final measure, took my sink and off he went. A week after the install I think one of my other contractors made a huge scratch on the counter top. Not knowing what to do or how to fix it, I called AGD for advice. They sent Luis out the next day to assess and he actually removed to scratch for me at no cost! When I'm ready to renovate the bathrooms I know who my first call will be to!
